How do you deal with people who dont pay after they have won an auction of yours?

You have to collect the money from them first. Look in your journal. There is no way for them to NOT pay you. Just feel around the tools, check the journal, and select the auction which was won to collect the payment. --------------

I apologise, I was referring to FORUM auctions rather than in game :)
Ive just had someone buy out an auction of mine, now some time later hes decided he doesnt want it.

There is no way for you to force the winner (or seller) to follow through with forum sales/auctions. You can contact the next bidder and see if they would like it, you can start over with a new forum auction, or you can use the contract system to auction it.

If you want enforceable auctions then use the in-game system... I don't see this being a real issue.

I've sold things through both forum and contract auctions, and the contract auctions are much more convenient, because they automate the scudwork and prevent this very problem.
The only things that contract auctions don't provide is a reserve and a sniper rule. No big loss, if you ask me.

Thanks for the replies.
This auction was for a character, so there was only one way for me to do it.
Now 2 seperate buyout people have pulled out. Its a real pain.
