Like many other Faithful capsuleers, I was in Safizon the day TES Auctoritas was supposed to be handed over to Her Majesty, Empress Jamyl I. Like all the others who were there, I watched in horror at Her MajestyGÇÖs martyrdom.
Since that day, members of the Order of Jamyl have kept a vigil over the wreck of EF Seraph, an ever present, but ever empty, mausoleum. We continue to mourn her death and remember her, but in remembering her, we know that her life was not just the few moments at Safizon. Hers was a life of righteousness and glory, of triumph and strength. Empress Jamyl I returned pride to the Imperial Military and righted the wrongs of her father. Her mark on the Navy will last, even though she is gone.
Therefore, I propose that TES Auctoritas be renamed TES Empress Jamyl I. I can think of few better ways for the Navy to remember her. |

I second this proposal. Although no doubt others will chime as to various fitting tributes (why do x if you can do y), there is no reason not to proceed with a simple and clear one while others are also pursued for her Holy Memory. |

An excellent proposal, Holy Mother, and one I feel the Navy will embrace quite easily. Were it not for Her Majesty's leadership in pushing the technology of Navy forward, the TES Auctoritas likely would not have ever even been conceived.

I feel somewhat conflicted about this proposal in that I do not wish to intertwine Her Majesty's blessed memory with a weapon of war.... but at the same time I so vividly recall the broad cast, before it went down, of the moment She returned to save the Empire in its hour of need.
It serves to remind me of a scriptural passage, my personal favourite.
"The word of the Lord is pure, It is a shield for the faithful, Brought unto men by the Angels, As a guiding light in the darkness " - The Scriptures, Prophet Anoyia 8:15
She truly was our shield and a guiding light that perhaps shone too brightly for her short reign.
What fills the soul?
Something that guides a lost child back to it's parents arms.
Or waves that dye the shores of the heart gold.
A blessed breath to nurture life in a land of wheat.
Or the path the Sef descend drawn in ash.
In the wake of fire.

So you openly admit to the sin of desecration towards a former incumbant of the Throne? Is that not against all natural and scriptural laws of the faithful and Amarr? And yet, you still claim to be able to say the words Amarr Victor?

I don't believe that's really naming the ship, more so just claiming it as yours when you have it assembled. It's more of a place holder. |

I wholeheartedly back this proposal. As for Nauplius, the only blood that will be spilt in this 'blood age' will be his blood and that of his ilk. The grace and wonders of our Holy Empire are simply outside his grasp on reality, and should be treated with the utmost disdain that such comments deserve. |

They never got a chance to respond. The Drifters turned up in a massed formation, alpha-striked the Empress's Avatar-class Titan with the Drifter pocket-doomsdays, hit her pod with their beam weapons, and quit the field. All in the span of a few seconds.
That's part of what makes the event so unsettling: nobody could stop them, either from killing the Empress or from escaping, after. They assassinated a head of state, and as far as I know they didn't suffer a single loss for it, at least at the time. |

Why is the Military Space Forces of the Empire did not use class Devoter ships? For perimeter protection?

Warp disruption bubbles cannot be deployed in Hi-sec. Also, even if they are trapped, the Drifters will likely just annihilate the escort fleet and bug out with minimal loss. It will be Vak'Atioh all over again.

One of the great truisms of our kind is that you don't undock what you can't afford to lose. Amarr undocked something they couldn't afford to lose.
Granted, given the rapid strike capabilities of the Drifters, once they appeared on-grid, there wasn't anything anyone could have done. The failure of Amarr was hubris. We all knew something was going to happen. We knew the Drifters were a significant threat and that they possessed a worrisome level of power. And still Amarr publicly announced when and where the Empress would be. Of course, no one expected that anyone would try something like ganking a Head of State in HiSec. But Amarr should never have taken the chance in the first place.
