Anyone who takes Aurum is an idiot. Not because they want clothes, but because there are more efficient ways to get clothes. Taking Aurum gets you a shirt or boots. Taking the +3 set gets you the shirt and the boots. Your call.
With the success of micro transactions in games and Aurum already ready and waiting, CCP is definitely going to provide more things to buy in the future (ship skins, customizations, vanity items, etc). Aurum is banking on cool stuff coming eventually.
The other options are ~40m ISK or a re-map that old characters like this one have no use for. After a few years in EVE you run out of immediately important skills to train and end up training skills that take forever (like finishing off training every weapon spec to 5 :D). |

There are skills for reducing tax on transactions, total contracts, distance of contracts, bigger rewards from agents, access to better agents via Diplomacy skill etc.
So yes there is a link between sp and cash if you use it wisely.

And taking a remap gets you something you can't buy with isk. :) |

Well the *only* reason to take Aurum would be:
(either)
A. You are a bit stupid and can't do fundimental mathematics.
or
B. You actually support the principle of NeX microtransactions creeping into the premium subs Eve Online and wish to encourage a move to fractured content divided by $ paywalls.
If A. Not Bad just a bit foolish.
If B. Yes Bad. Please get your MT kick playing WOT's instead (like I do actually).

How could a remap possibly make ISK quicker, does total SP somehow get used as a multiplier on the bounties people receive, manufacturing time or trade tax? I took the 2000 AUR on both chars as ship skins are coming and they'll no doubt be costing (a reasonable amount of, or CCP has gotten too much rotten shark again) AURUM.
SP helps lower sales tax and broker fees, as well as saving mats on building and getting more from refinery. That is more isk from SP. As well as more dps to kill faster more isk, then hauling more materials and saving time is more isk. Also null alliance and corps like your higher SP and can make more isk down there. Enough SP allows you into incursions so SP = isk faucet there actually.
Not sure if you are being sarcastic but SP does help trade tax, manufacturing time, then quicker bounties but not higher ones. |
