Three bots...sorry, posters...in a row wearing the same outfit, on page one.
I'm not sure exactly what this tells us about the OP's idea, but it's probably bad.
There was a reason I felt it was a BAD idea to wear something given to everyone on newyears (or something like that). You just had to bring it up, and now I need a new outfit :/
Maybe I'll wear the guristas shirt, the pants would already work.

I believe your question has been answered in the first two posts; you're now trying to convince a disagreeing public, and are getting heckled.
CCP has removed drone grades, thereby reducing the penalty of losing your pod by quite a bit. A pod without implants loses nothing, and implants are a choice.
Personally I'd make the system even less confusing: when your SHIP explodes, you wake up in the medical bay.
No more mumbo jumbo about a 3 meter pod having a full rocket engine inside (for movement), a full warp drive (for warping), a full autopilot system (for getting across the galaxy), a rather large computer system for scanning ALL your neurons in a millisecond to "save" you, and a communications array with enough bandwidth to send all that data to your medical station, again within a couple seconds. A full-fledged life support system (including oxygen, water, temperature control, and waste reprocessing), a graphics processing system for interfacing with the external cameras, armor and shields similar to a ship, a capacitor and energy system capable of powering everything indefinitely, an IFF identification beacon and running strobe lights, and so on the list keeps on going. It's rather ridiculous. |

as dope as that sounds, no, i don't think it would be a good update to implement.
Edit: I just read Tau's suggestion; I could definitely get behind that if it was a slotted implant buff or something. |

Alright how about this guys. You need a full "interdiction" implant set to be able to have a nullified pod. Missing any will make the effect fail. That way you only have slot 7~10 for hardwiring.

Killing pods in a so often not mutual consented pvp and you call them cowards? Now they should fit for you to be satisfied when forcing an unwanted combat? Haha I see.

I agree with that and the pod can be the bonus premium but if your ship falls inside a warp bubble of whatever kind your pod has no chance at all and no bonus should be given that easy to anyone. The petition of a interdiction nullifyed pod instead does not come for free as using one of your slots that cannot be used for faster shot or anything else. That gives a choice.
In order to be fair you need to see things beyond your alignment, playing style or convenience.

only if its a slot 6 so you cant have an omega installed, but still you dont want to lose a shiney pod then dont fly a shiney pod where bubbles are ie nullsec, thats the risk.
its pretty obvious where this rant has come from, who even goes to nulsec with a bil pod? how long did you expect it to last?

Well you know there are people who doesn't "go" to null sec, but "live" in null sec. Also think of industrialists or miners. I am not miner so I dont know if there are so expensive mining sets to justify the use of a valuable slot or the price of this hypothetical implant, TII pod or whatever they would come with.
I understand some people would take it as a bad idea and some people would support. This is what I have seen along the post, but the question here is not who likes it and who does not. The question was it it would be fair, balanced and adaptable to the game and I dont find any suggestion who leads me to think that way.
P.S. Last pod I lost in null was about a week ago, last pod I destroyed in null was yesterday. I'll see you out there o7

While I lived in lowsec, I was not willing to go to null with a clone I wasnt willing to lose. If you're willing to lose High grade slaves with 5% hardwirings, then cool. If you arent willing to lose 12m in implants, then dont take that clone.

Just give it a full 5 second align time after a full HG snake set or whatever the agility one is and I'd be alright with it. Nullification at a heavy align time cost. |

Only if they sacrificed a very valuable implant slot which can be the cause of losing the ship in the first place. Most kills happen with no interdiction intervention, no bubbles or spheres so the pod warps as fast as the capsuleer does not screw, which btw can also happen. Only a relatively smal percent of kills happen inside a bubble and yet all your combats will lack that given slot.
Well, tbh here I cannot tell if I am totally fair here or moved by my own interest. Can you totally assure the same? Would you decide the same if you were not a player but a developer? I am inclined to think there is a fair point in what I am suggesting but of course I would benefict from it, so who knows.... Also would I so easily give a rapid launch implant and losing dps to save potential isk lose?

Killing pods is the punishment you get for getting blown up. It is also my favorite part of the kill.
Hypothetically? Lets say CCP never removed the cost of clone replacement....then I "might" see some merit in your idea
The pod, without implants, is worthless and costs you nothing to loose, except your ego.
