Congrats to CCP for trying to relieve the pressure on Jita... but judging by the lag today, it still needs way more work done. Given that EVE will always have a focal trading point like Jita (or Yulai of old), would the following suggestions help?
Suggestion 1: Turn Caldari Navy IV-m4 station around so that the exit faces the jumpgates. It will make it easier to leave the damn place, there are always too many ships jumbled up, pushing each other out of warp alignment right outside the station!
Suggestion 2: Upgrade the station to one with multiple exits, and randomise the departure gate for exiting pilots to reduce the pile-up.
Suggestion 3: To really solve the problem, would it not be better to jump through a gate and just enter the station? Spare us all the lag-fest that is trying to get across Jita's space in the first place! If there were lots of jump points into the station, to spread the traffic in neighbouring systems, that would help...
Suggestion 4: If all else fails, just levy a 'Jita tax' on all transactions taking place there, that might encourage traders to spread themselves out a bit.
Incidentally, I don't see that removing the Jita-Kermerk gate achieved much, its just moved the problem to Perimeter

I honestly think Interbus will resolve a fair portion of this lag issue. A tax based on amounts of sales in a system you say? That'd do the job lol.

To the OP:
YOU, yes, YOU! YOU ARE the problem in Jita. You and the hundreds of people like you who CONTINUE to go to Jita, which is what CAUSES the problem!
STAY. THE. ****. OUT. OF. JITA.
- That is the ONLY way to fix the Jita problem atm.
I suspect that yourself and people like you continue to go to Jita out of laziness. I suspect that instead of taking 30 seconds to try to find what you're looking for in another region/system, you go to Jita, knowing that it will probably be there. If you took a little bit of time, and had a slight bit of self discipline you'd pay a little bit more and buy your stuff from other systems than Jita.
You can't go flying into the system that is FAMOUS for being laggy and slow and not worth entering without possible problems, and then moan about the problem of lag.
I repeat:
STAY THE **** OUT OF JITA!!!!!!!!
Thank-you for your time.

*sigh*
There will always be a Jita. Before Jita, there was Yulai, and after Jita, there will be somewhere else.
Fact.
So there's nothing wrong with a few simple suggestions to make life a bit easier for the 700 or so players stuck in the game's most important trade centre... |

Jita is the syptom and the market is the cause.
I'm much in favour of the market being altered to deliver goods.
Not sure if it would be cool if the goods were actually delivered via tradesmen etc,, insured by the state of course,, I'm sure someone might try and exploit this but it might be fun for the pirates to have something to pirate after all. The state could then pay for the pirates to be nuked etc.
Funny,,, a lot of the posts on the forums reminds me of Labour policies in the UK,,, if something is going wrong tax it, fine peeps or make it illegal.
Perhaps Eve needs a version of the anti-social behaviour order ? (Pirate badge of honour ?)

1. 2. and 4. are brilliant.
I would be hands down NO on 3 and would think it unnecessary if 1,2 & 4 are implemented.
The tax idea is great and probably the one that is the most easy to manage. Just set a tax based on volume of commercial transactions.
MUCH better than simply getting out of Jita. In RL and in the virtual world, there will ALWAYS be a hub of trade that is ALWAYS the heaviest in traffic. Without such a place trade is useless and boring.
Good show and thanks for a different and more realistic solution to the problem. =========================

I know that not using that topic wouldn't screw up the forum layout on this resolution so that could be a start as well...

This probable goes against every other post I've ever made but for some fun.
make Jita a 0.0 space for a week.
its surounded by high sec space so no low sec/no sec pirates could get there. but it would be funny to watch how fast jita gets empied

My god... why are there STILL people coming to the forums and saying 'i just went into Jita...' or 'I just logged on in Jita...' or 'im stuck in Jita...' and then moaning about immense lag. Basically, if you do not want lag or to be stuck.... STAY. THE. ****. OUT. OF. JITA.
Now can I get some kind of response from someone who is in Jita? What is YOUR excuse for being in Jita? WHY are you in Jita - being in Jita makes YOU the problem.
I just want to make it clear that I have NO SYMPATHY AT ALL for anyone who enters Jita, and then complains about the problem. Everyone KNOWS about the problem, and entering Jita will only make the problem worse. If you don't want any problems, DON'T ENTER JITA.
I feel like no matter how much I stress this in however many 'Jita Lag' threads, there will always be someone else who enters Jita, then comes here to ***** about it.

Actually, CCP needs to beef up Jita, by dedicating more hardware to keeping the system flowing smoothly, and by redesigning the stations, as to allow for multiple undocking ports, in order to alleviate the logjams.
Having a hugely populated, centralized trade hub like Jita is a good thing. It represents something that was built out of nothing by the players, and that's a nice touch in an MMO, in addition to being something extremely useful to anyone who buys anything in this game. _________________________________________________________

Jita is too far away from me...I cant unarse myself to fly 27 jumps to save 5%.....
No I think during next major down time....Take all pilots, all the gear...and anything they have on market....and send them in random direction to any other systems...at least 30 jumps away. Then shut down the stations...Plauge or somthing...."
They know about this lag....and still they cause it by continue occupation of Jita.....
