Since the patch i've noticed my game has become unstable. It's slow to initialize after signing in and things like the animation of jumping gates has become as smooth as TiDi.
Game settings are set to the lowest form possible, i am a windows 10 user, is anyone else suffering with similar? |

Yeah several bugs with pop ups telling me there's not enough PG/CPU to online modules after jumping gates, and they are actually on.
I used to be able to chat while the Sell All window was getting it all added up.

GG CCP - no idea what you've changed but I had zero control over my client for 10 minutes. This has only started to happen since the patch. White screen, black screen, slow animation, lag. whats going on? PS: reimburse my loss TY. |

Only if you have an expensive laptop and a cheap desktop. Any decent spec desktop will be able to out perform a laptop just because power budget, heat budget and space budget are less of a concern so more performant components can be used.

Disagree 99%. Whilst yes desktops will always be able to "grow" since they are not constrained by space, Half decent laptops that don't cost an arm and leg will run games no problem and will run Eve no problem at all. |

Sounds like it could be related to the hard disk, but it's difficult to pinpoint who's failing.
Have you noticed if there's a small circling icon on the lower left corner of the client, by the clock? That would be the icon for the launcher downloading content to the client, that's a lees-than-smooth experience even with a SDD and if it's happening a lot it could explain your issues.
CCP Seagull: "EVE should be a universe where the infrastructure you build and fight over is as player driven and dynamic as the EVE market is now".
62% of players: "We're not interested. May we have Plan B, please?"
CCP Seagull: "What Plan B?"

Being able to run games with no problems is not the same as being more powerful, and not what your statement meant.
Anyway, let's give you some ideas for addressing your problem - have you tried verifying the cache? From the new launcher, click the "E" top right and click "Shared Cache". WAit for the popup window to appear and click verify. This will go and look for any corrupt resources and fix them.
YOu may also get better overall performance by having the launcher download everything ("E" top right, "Settings" and tick "Download Everything") so that you are not trying to download resources on demand.
Also, since which patch did this start happening? |

I get sound dropouts now all the time, especially during session changes. All the sound effects and music will just stop for 4 or 5 seconds. |

Not true.
Laptops have (can have) the same processors in them as desktops, but usually have lower powered processors to save battery juice. Even if it's a high powered processor, it has the heat issues to overcome as well. Of course, the post just below the one I quoted said as much so call this a supporting post.
What is true is that laptops can easily play EVE and I play EVE on my new Core i7 laptop all the time. It does not out perform my much older Core i7 desktop system though.
I'm also experiencing issues on the latest patches, but it's very intermittent and changes depending on which system I'm playing on. I'm not worried about them, CCP usually figures it out and fixes it. I think there's a forum just for these kinds of posts.

That was meant to say laptops "can be more powerful".
