The lag in those systems (especially Laah and Saila) is just horrible. Quite surprising, Aramachi is pretty lag-free.
Wasn't auto-load-balancing at DT supposed to detect and prevent exactly such issues ? I find it hard to believe that with as little as 50 people in local in Laah/Saila, IF load balancing would have worked properly, the situation would have been so... well, "laggy". I mean, damn, 1-2 minutes for lock to resolve, for module activations and so on, not even 50 deadspaces whould lag any of the systems THAT badly.
So what gives, is load balancing failing somehow (or got cancelled / overriden), or are each of those systems (mostly) alone on the nodes, but STILL so laggy ? Just curious. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

I'm not sure, Motsu is generally playable, but I have to agree that Laah, Saila & Oichiya are pretty bad.
Over the past few days Oichiya has been unplayable and I've had to to just log rather than lose my ship.
We desperately need more good quality level 4 agents spread about Caldari space to spread the load.

Not really - there's quite a few high-quality combat-oriented agents in sparsely-populated systems.

1) CCP need to allow transfer of LP's to different agents within the same faction. Hardcore mission runners are not going to ditch 200k LPs to move agent otherwise.
2) The lag in Mostu/Saila/etc area is, I suspect, deliberate. CCP wants high-sec lvl 4 mission running removed but is afraid of the outcry from many people if they simply force them all into low-sec, so they're doing it this way. Make it unplayable, wait for people to quit/move.

Kinda agree with #1 - but I'd have thought that in the time it takes to build up 200k LP, it might occur to them that the place sucks a bit...

This is a mute point... Will Spacelane patrol offer me a Navy-Issue Raven/BP for my hard earned LP? No they won't... so I will continue to fly missions for Caldari Navy.
If the game mechanics allowed me to transfer my LP from Navy agent to Navy agent I'd be happy with this and would be more than happy to run missions in sparsely-populated systems. If players could trade LP's to the Corp that would be really cool too, this could be used to further Corp & player objectives.
Should level 4 missions be run in low sec? Possibly. It would be a bold move on behalf of CCP, I wonder how many players would be willing to commit for example their 800mil ISK Raven kitted out to run a particular mission to get scan probed and griefed by a Gank Squad?

If that is a Caldari corp, then yes they will...

As mentioned above, any Caldari corp will give out a CNR as an LP offer.

Oveur mentioned a week or so ago (somewhere, I can't find it) that something like this is on the drawing board. Which is nice.
On a lag-related note, I accidentally clicked on the map option that shows the number of NPC kills. Motsu, Saila and the like were incredible - something like 40,000 NPC kills per system over the last 24 hours. ISTR that Aramachi wasn't so bad, so maybe that explains the differences. Mind you, when my alt used to grind missions in Aramachi months ago, it was awful.

I will re-iterate this fact as it seems to elude many many people:
Any corp in the Caldari State faction will award you a Caldari Navy Raven in return for loyalty points.
You don't have to work for the Caldari Navy to get a CNR
Clear?
p.s. the word is moot.

CCP tried to add more nodes just now and the whole thing has kicked over.

i started mission running back when there lag was tolerable then i hit 0.0
now i come back, and find that all my LPs are completely worthless, since i cant access them without doing a mission and i cant do another mission because of lag
im in total agreement transfering loyalty points within a corp would fix alot of the problems id even agree to loose some, just to get the heck out of motsu _____________________________________________________

It is indeed going to happen.
That we're intentionally lagging nodes is just silly
Those systems are on our top 10 system watch list, but downtime doesn't magically fix a system. The thing is, local count doesn't have anything to say about a node being laggy. There can be 10 other solar systems on the same node and they all have 50 people.
For example, right now Motsu has it's own node and I'm in there and it's fine.

I've replied in another post about this Oveur, but the idea of not having to visit your agent to obtain a mission might be another way of ofloading stress in certain areas. It's probably something TomB would look into, but has this idea come up in discussion internally before?

Well, that's what I was basically asking in my first post about Laah/Saila and secondarily Motsu/Aramachi: - if they are alone on the node usually, why still the lag with only 50 in local, are missions THAT server-heavy ? - if they're not getting a node for themselves at DT balance, why not, especially since they're on a "watch list" ?
Apparently, right now Motsu is on its own node, and doing fine, so it's possible at times all goes well... why not all the time then ? _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |
