good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,
like any good investor I seek information.
currently, prices for lnb2's are exceptionally low, at around a half million per.
prices for its component parts are either steady or inflated, robotics prices being fairly inflated and particle accelerators a little bit high.
I am seeking thoughts and opinions on this trend - I would like to understand how and why this is occurring.
my personal thoughts are that demand is lower than usual and supply/volume is holding steady, which is driving down the price.
it seems to me that at some point higher prices for the component parts should drive lnb2's back up.
any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks for your time and for reading!

I seem to recall someone posting about a shortage not too long ago.
If that was the case, then several people may have gone into mass production to fill the void.
That may have resulted in over-production and a glut.
I tend to avoid manufacturing items that have such large volume swings. They are great for market traders though. |

Hi there, I can answer this one.
CODE. organised an event a few weeks back that was projected to need around 20000 LNB2s and a couple thousand NBC2s as well (CODE. don't really use Brutixes at present, it's all Taloses and Catalysts; however some nullsec alliances are using the Heavy Neutron Blaster IIs as well which has inflated their prices).
This caused prices to spike hard.
Reactive producers shifted. I personally built over 12000 LNB2s and 1000 NBC2s in this period. I've also paid someone to invent me another 3000 10-run LNB2 prints.
Now the CODE. event ran out of targets (freighters got scared) and so CODE. had a lot of spare supply which has suppressed demand since.
This is a temporary suppression in price due to temporary oversupply. If you are in for the medium term, a massive buyup of LNB2s should turn a profit. If you are in it for the short term, stay away.
As for the thread advising producers to shift into the market - that was me posting it about NBC2s. It was posted in good faith and with honest intentions - I wanted to lower CODE.'s costs by getting more of those built but the advice was solid.
I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

I was hoping you would answer Sabriz - CODE activity definitely affects the price of these commodities.
thanks for the info everyone who answered :) it's appreciated!
I have picked up a tidy chunk of them at a nice price (buys were at 0.46M last night) and plan to sit on them for a while :) |
