What are the chances they are trying to steal your account info. Even one with 100k+ downloads. I found one that can automatically create and add my api key to it. All I need to do is provide the app with my account info...... |

API keys can be created and entered (semi)automatically without providing any account info GÇö any app/site/person/whatever that asks you for your account info only intends to steal your account.
Report the app and find a better one. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥
If not, contact Miss DSA to shed your wardecs. |

edit: file a petition, tell CCP the name of the app, what their lawyers hotdrop the creator. Dollars to donuts he's talking about Aura for Android. Aura has a feature where you click a button and it sends you to the api page in the browser (https://support.eveonline.com/api/). If you're not logged in on the browser, it asks for login information... once you're logged in, you click the button again and it sets up the key for you and the page links back to the Aura app.
If this is what you're talking about, this is completely normal. Be a leader and make EVE what you want it to be. -á-- CCP Navigator https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=495762#post495762 |

Aura is fine and doesn't need your login info. I've used it for some time now. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.com/ ~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

If a random person made an app for android that gave you access to your bank website, and harvested your internet banking details in the process, do you think your bank might win that lawsuit? So if I am logged into my browser the button should work? Nice. Thanks. |

Wouldn't be so worried about the Dev's of the apps. I belong to the community and the apps are scrubbed to ensure there isnt anything "fishy" going on. However, I'd watch out for CarrierIQ, if it's installed on your phone (Oooh, that is going to be a lawyers dream). |

I'd be more concerned that your uid/pass combo is being transmitted securely by the app That said I'd probably run it without the api key The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |
