[b]Hi there. This is new to me. Good day. I thought of this, 2 races that were enemies at the time.Hi there is is a thought. I was having the Caldarii and the Ammar races got married by the hi end priests and priestess. Now from that they were sunned and cast as out siders and for the lat 100+yrs they evovled into an new a prosperus.Learning from one another they made ships some stayed the same others were able to be a mix of both, some ships built lots bette others still had or more weaknesses. But they have there own support ships and now found a new home world and sector. they live in harmony and now the other 2 races are not pleased by this at all , But both the other empires say don't interfer or there could be an interstellar war. So far that has not happened. thats why there is a Buffer ZONE. They now reside after boths sides seeing differences can be put in the past, now can go on into the new future. So the Ammar and caldari mix/ the Caldmarr. wait to see them in the systems. as they reside in a 0.8 to 0.6 area. They are very devoted and protective. But they have both traits. Depending on there way of life. Now after nearly a secret 200 yrs they have emerged.Quietly stepping out into this new universe. They find friends and the enemies that took half of them b4 they merged as a great society.

hi am wanting too know if there is a way a miner can get some kind of balance in high sec we have people that can come in and steal from our cans then they log or if you think about engaging them they have 2 or 3 of there fellow corp mates with them and when you aggress one of them you blink red too there hole corp.. not only that but where does a minning barge have what it takes too defend itself against a battle ship . a minning barge is desined too do nothing but mine it realy doesnt have enough cpu or power too do anything else and 5 drones is not really enough fire power for a barge even against the npc rats in some case's.all miners are having a hard time in high sec with these theive's.. and i would like too see that if a theif steals from your can that ccp would come in and destroy the guilty party . miners are also having a hard time period . the new capital barge is a nice ship and it has some nice bonus's it would also be nice too see it with 6 mining lazers from my understanding at the moment it cant.i would also like to se like a tier 2 barge come out maybe something that is allowed in high sec that can run 4 strip miners and have 6 mid slots and 4 low that would be nice and i beleave alot of miners would also say the same thing miners and industrialist need help . the industrial ships are nice and are pretty set but the miners need more cargo and more lazers or even a nice boost in yeild would be nice.. a average player takes them any where from 50 minutes too 1 1/2 hr too fill a can.. we miner's and industrialist need a boost please and the new cap barge is a nice step in that direction but we also need something for high sec please help

I believe I read through the descriptions for every link, saw a lot of wonderful ideas, but didn't see the only two I wanted to make sure where here:
1. War Game/Duel Mode - I know there are ideas for Dueling/Arena play in other threads but none of them really capture my idea. I would suggest a War Games Mode where all damage would be virtual. If that would not work, and I see how it could be very complex, it could more easily be achieved as a station mini-game sort of thing. People docked at the station would be transported to a deadspace pocket in a duplication of their ship and fight it out until one was destroyed. The duel would also exit if anyone warped out or it could just not be an option.
2. Flying through solid objects - This is more of a bug than a feature request but adding featured pales in comparison to what fixing this would do for the game. I've heard that argument that you fly through objects because your ship is "out of phase" and can do it. This would be a compelling excuse IF it looked like that was happening. As it stands now it looks like what it is: flying through an sphere. In terms of bang for the buck this should be a no brainer.
Now the miracle will be if anyone actually reads this.
- Thank you!

Edited by: serenity one on 10/11/2007 11:35:13 firstly ccp or whoever should sell models of ships (like war hammer yet much better :). so you can buy a crow an look at it on your desk an fly it in the game :) next i think there should be a thing called a skill planner. ccp could sell them for real money, so u pay like $10 or something for the planner it will then pop up in game an you can make a list of skills (with limit. $10 one limit of 5 skills planned $15 one 8 skills...)an then you dont need to log on so much if u going on holidays or sumthing. mabe it could be like an add on to a clone so each clone you would have to buy another. also ccp could make quite a bit for everyone buying those things.

1) Upkeep: Things need to deteriorate over time unless given the proper upkeep. A station should require XXX amount of minerals, fuel, population etc per month/week/day. If not, their hull, armour, items shields max will be lowered and can only be raised by reperations. (this should also apply to ships)
2) More resources: add things like population, food, water, crew, as resources to be managed
Population: consume things like food, water, living quarters and consumer goods; however they provide ISK through taxes and are essential for crew. used to create crew and run non-military institutions: mining facility, farm grow ops, ice mining facility, colonies etc
Crew: Trained in military institutions. Used in military items: ships, stations, outposts. Consumes Isk as an upkeep. Gives bonus' to whatever they are assigned to.
3) Live missions run by game masters
Game Masters
4) Add new buildings to represent the new resources.
i.e. mining facilities that can be placed in large astroid fields and can reprocess items and astroids with higher yields.
i.e. colonies on planets that produce population
i.e. astroid colonies that produce some population but are more difficult to detect
i.e. repair facilities that do not require ships to dock inside.
i.e. secret science facilities that hold reveal many secrets if destroyed, yet yeild XX% research bonus'
These ideas are generated under this premiss: The point of acquiring territory and holding it is for it's resources. The point of attacking a neighbour is to acquire the resources of that territory. So in essence, creating more resources helps to stimulate people into going out and making it themselves. More importantly, it also creates conflict as sovereign states become more pressed for resources causing conflict. Conflict in games is where a large portion fo the fun comes from and the raison d'etre!
The reason behind upkeep is to stimulate the economy and to need the resources. Right now, as outlined in the recent eve economics, the economy is driven by players destroying one another. This creates demand for new ships, which are created by resources that need to be mined. Upkeep does the same thing, but also brings in the non-combat stimulant to the economy.
It also helps to maintain stustained growth. I've seen some players complaining they have 80 billion ISK and don't know what to do with it anymore. Well now they can invest into things like colonies, mining facilities, stations, and manage those resource generators. Since upkeep will now be a factor, people shouldn't be ending up with 80 billion sitting in their bank. The money should be going to expansion to the point of exhaustion. In other words, they will expand until the upkeep consumes their income.
This would work by having an escalating upkeep factor for every new object owned by a corporation that is a duplicate. ie. if you own 1 mining op it costs 1000 (insert resources) /day. If you own 2 they consume 2020 (insert resources)/ day.
Overcoming this would have to be done through skills and technological improvements.
To tie in Terrain Obstacles, many of these items would be great for dynamic environments. Imagine hiding your science facility in a nebula that lowers ship scanning by 50%. Opposing corporations would then have to send out scouts to enemy territory in order to plan out where they should attack. Should we hit the astroid belt with the mining facility, knocking out their source of Tritanium, or should we find their Science base and stop them from gaining a tech advantage?

Edited by: Axon Calasis on 06/12/2007 08:56:12 This may seem like a bit of a no-brainer to me, but I haven't really seen it come up with a lot of players yet, as a lot of players buy their ships according to function, not looks.
However... a lot of EVE players play the game for the beauty, and as such, that includes the ships themselves, especially with Trinity out now. A major improvement that could be made to the market is a well-developed "ship preview" ability for ship items, which you can currently only preview using either the postage-stamp-sized ship image in its description panel, or by actually tracking one down in the game universe. Very inefficient, if you're trying to purchase both a beautiful AND functional ship, and you can't accurately tell what it looks like.
My separate thoughts on how this improvement could possibly manifest itself: - a "ship database" easily accessible through the market in place of or in conjunction with the current drop-down item tree, which allows you to browse poseable 3d models or large still images of each race's ships along with their description and attributes. IMPLEMENTATION DIFFICULTY: Hard - moderate-sized animated images of the ships in their description panel simply showing a full 360-degree spin of the ship model, textured and lifelike, as it would appear in game, giving players a sense of shape and form when purchasing their new vessel. IMPLEMENTATION DIFFICULTY: Moderate - larger images available when a player clicks the description window thumbnail picture of the ship itself. IMPLEMENTATION DIFFICULTY: Easy
It's just a thought or two (or three), but I know that although I knew beforehand that the Moa is a particularily homely-looking but tough cruiser, other players buying it on almost looks alone (perhaps a laid-back explorer or miner) would be sorely disappointed when they actually see the craft in space, after dropping a few million credits on it.
If anything I'd just like to see larger preview images available by clicking the ship's thumbnail image in the market, if not just included in the description panel itself. Or maybe in the market next to its info button you could add a little magnifying-lens button that brings up the larger image. Just a handy thought. :)
MAJOR EDIT -- Whoops, wrong topic. Someone please delete this!

IMO, this should really, really be on the permanent developer naglist:
Add a UI switch in the graphics settings to configure antialiasing.
It's really ridiculous that players have to fiddle with the driver settings to enable antialiasing. EVE is one of the games that have lots of fine details, leading to quite massive ugliness due to missing antialiasing. The level of ridiculousness has been raised now that a completely revamped graphics engine was released with Trinity, and it's still not supported.
I filed a bug report about it, and the response was:
Quote: This is not a bug, it¦s by design as to prevent anyone from setting both [HDR and AA] on by accident - However you¦re welcome to put this on the development forum as a suggestion. It is, however like I said, not a bug.
Uhm... how does not having an in-game setting prevent enabling AA and HDR at the same time? IMO, it's a lot more irritating to enable AA in the driver settings, and have it fail silently because HDR is enabled in-game. Also, nvidia's control panel positively sucks behind, the game-profile stuff is unreliable at best, and setting it globally has nasty side-effects for some other games. Lastly, nobody can tell me that CCP manages to build a graphics engine like that, but is unable to implement that little feature.

With all the changes to ships and hopefully changes to POS's some time in the future I started to think that it would be nice to have some changes to space itself. I mean for the most part each system looks fairly similar with some color change or cloudy things. I would love to see peppered around some amazing sights that are located in one and only one system. I hope more people can add to some ideas allready placed in my space anomalies In the end there can be only one. |

I would like EVE to develope a "View Setting" that allows the user to define one or more preset views, in addition to the default view. I would like my viewer to show a constant angle and distance from my ship, in a way that is consistent with my tactical play or method operandi.
Here, the default view...
Versus my tactical narrow view...
And my tactical wide view...
- A Quick Key could be assigned and 'named' and displayed in the margin with a transparant tag that fades out after a few seconds. One of the Quick Keys would put the display back into default view, or use the Reset option already available.
This suggestion is consistent after 'jumps' and not resetting the view to this...

What I would like to see if a Voice Changer option for eve voice such as you make a personÆs voice deeper or higher, this would go along way for those that donÆt like the sound of their own voice and towards the RP side of the game.

1) Regarding Heavy Interdictors and their new and unique warp disruptor tool. Infinite scram with the focused script should be rebalanced.
2) Regarding Gallente (and Amarr) Recon ship bonuses to rebalance the nerf on Sensor Dampeners and Tracking Disruptors, so that at least the role specific ships can be put to a decent use again. ----------

Please can we have some more industrial skills.
Remote refine - either personal or Corp hanger. After all the broker is in the station. Remote recycle - as above
Tycoon is just not enough trades. Capitalism skill please.
Delivery based on Interbus and delivery skill - say 1 jump an hour modified by skill. Number of deliveries also skill based. Delivery range, delivery slots, delivery speed. This should not be risk free and should depend on faction standing of region.
Why can't I have a skill to sell remotely in another region? No need to let me see the Market.
Skill modifiers for invention quality, number, chance on top of existing pre-req. Abilitity to polish bpc.

I don't kknow if it's been proposed before. What I would like to see in a new version of Trinity would be more dynamic ship designs and more visible equipment. When you cruise through the universe the ships become very static. The only movable and visible things are the guns. I would like to see moving missile launcher, salvage modules, tractor beam emitters, sensor arrays, maneuvering thrusters, deceleration thrusters, animated drone hangars. Also interesting would be signs of wear and tear, due to damage of just the age of ship. Don't get this wrong. Trinity looks great, especially in 1920x1200, the resolution I'm using for playing, but it's just nice looking texture, the ship models are as static as ever. I'm aware that individual ship customization is limited due to the size of this mmog, but implementing the above mentioned animation would apply to all players the same way and due to ever increasing CPU and GPU performance this shouldn't be a problem. Wear and Tear textures could also be altered be a fixed formula that apply to the database in a general way. This way you could recognize an old combat veteran just by the look at his ship. Seperating the young boys from the grown up men.

First let me start by saying that the design and graphics of eve are the best I have seen. They really show the hard work that has gone into making them. Thanks for that. Now that I have buttered you up a little. hehehe Let me start by saying that I would like to be able to walk around a space station. That would be awesome. Secondly, I would like to be able to dock planetside. Think about it, we could have a whole new series of ships just for flying in the atmo. We could war and set up bases planetside as well. Not to mention mining and numerous other things that could be done planetside. Now on the other hand, I would be happy to see what the premium graphics look like. Sadly to say, my poor little laptop just doesnt have what it takes to run them. But I am sure I will be happy with any improvements you make.
