Me ships are looking a little ripe lately.
Besides the way World War Bee is going, jobless goons are going to need some place to find a job (sorry, 1970s era joke).
It's great the ships are starting to look their age and time in space but at least give us a chance for a wash and wax ocassionaly.
If caldari and minmatar ships come out with broken off antennae that'll be ok we can get that fixed.

*cough* Dirt & Killmarks - Dirt and Destruction in New Eden *cough*
Quote:Of course, clean ships are gorgeous, and not everyone will want to give up that sparkling New ShipGäó gleam. WeGÇÖve included a method by which fastidious pilots can always automatically reset the dirt level on a hull to 0. In the left-hand panel of the fitting window, below the Ship Skin information, capsuleers will now find a button labelled GÇ£Clean Ship.GÇ¥ Clicking that button removes all traces of dirt, as if the ship were newly assembled. One warning: this is an irreversible process, so if you value the visual signs of aging, be careful in the fitting window! And beware of repackaging, which will also reset the dirt level to zero. Sidenote: Irreversible is misleading. It takes a week or less and your shiny Amarr ship looks again more akin to a Minmatar ship.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

You have to pop out the Skins panel, look for the "<<" or ">>" icon on the left side of the Fitting window, to clean your ship. I know for ages I was trying to find it too, till someone told me about the Panel that I have never really noticed. |

1. CCP Introduces 'skins' concept which receives high acclaim and participation by playerbase because players like the shiny !
Conclusion the beancounters finally got the CCP devs to realize that you need income to keep a AAA grade game AAA.
2. CCP introduces dirty shiip concept that doesnt have a check box version of "opt out forever" but rather a button you will have to keep pushing for as long as EVE exists.
Conclusion CCP devs are ever seeking new ways to be stupid.
Yawn,-á I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

Thanks!
I was kind of hoping for an actual station service, with brushes and stuff, and seeing "man, I just washed this" in local when things happen.
But I'll take the buttons. Shiney and chrome! (Gallente anyway)

Caldari would not waste important ISK on cleaning ships unless it really reduce their effectiveness. It's all about the ISK for the state and we don't have enough to waste on ship wax. |
