I'm working towards a Prospect for WH gas mining. Wherein I have a few questions.
For my fitting:
HS: Gas Miner HS: Gas Miner HS: CovOps Cloaking
MS: MWD MS: Survey Scanner? MS: Free
LSx4: Mining Laser Upgrade?
Rigs: Free
Do Mining Laser Upgrades count for Gas Harvesters? They require turret hardpoints, so it makes sense that they would? But do they?
Any advice for filling the free slots? I intend to be slippery and safe, and a |

According to other threads on the subject Mining Laser Upgrades do NOT increase Gas Harvest. Other then that I haven-Št really tried Mining so there's probably others that can give advice on filling the free slots. |

just as a note for future reference and when you can't get clear answers from other players or just want to double check. When you click on the show info UI on a fitted module in the ship you are flying or the ship it's self the data will take into account your skills and other factors like ship bonus and affecting modules.
So in this case for example you could fit one of the upgrades and see if your amount or cycle time change at all.
Hopefully this helps in getting your familiar with the game and how to find the info you are looking for in a more general sense and not so much specific to just this case. |

They work on a point system. A warp disruptor has 1 point of warp scramble strength while a warp scrambler has 2 points of warp scramble strength. A Heavy Interdiction Cruiser with a scripted, focused point has infinite points of warp scramble strength. Each warp core stabilizer only offsets 1 point of warp scramble strength. So one warp core stabilizer is good enough to offset a single point (Eve term for warp disruptor), but not enough to offset a scram (Eve term for warp scrambler).
Here are some additional fittings as well. That wiki is good for getting some general ideas on fitting ships, just search the name!

Just as a note: There are faction scrams that have a 3 point scram strength.I only mention this because I've run into this before. I guess it's not all that uncommon for people to have 2 of those equipped trying to catch people that are "stabbed up". In that example you'd need 6 stabs fitted to be able to warp off from his 2 scam mods.
I only mention this because I've run into it before. Even if you had all of your lows filled with stabs it would not be totally unheard of for one player to be able to catch you still.
When it happend to me it was a solo guy in a proteus with his alt in a legion remote seboing him to nearly insta lock. I had a claw with 4 stabs and agility rigs and he caught me at a low sec gate.
There are officer scrams with 10 point strength but the rarity of seeing those I would think would be enough that you should not even consider them when planning. Dual faction scrams however are probably more common than most people think. |

Only 3 points of scram strength will hold that Prospect fit down. Any scrambler + disruptor is enough. The best defense is actually in your directional scanner window. Using just two should hopefully give you the slip past those camps if necessary and you still got an okay align time. Plus it's covert ops so that's nice. Also the lockrange doesn't matter since you gotta be within 1,500 meters to harvest gas.
The tank on it is for those null gas sites, they randomly explode causing 1,000 thermal damage I think? (was 800 in my experience factoring the resists.) Explosions happen at random after each cycle for each harvester.
Some will argue that you don't need a survey scanner and while that's true, I'd rather pay more attention to the client instead of trying to google for a guide on what's there. You'll find the booster dealers keep a tight lid on the information for these sites- maybe it's intentional on their part, but harvesting just the gas can be quite lucrative.
