Just wondering if this is at all possible, this is just an idea but I feel it would make things a little more organised.
Often times, being a logi pilot, and able to fly T2 rep drones, I'm repairing people at gates or in fleet, while at the same time shooting enemies (PVP or NPC's). Sometimes however I forget who my friendlies are since the target indicators aren't any different for the ones in my fleet than the ones who are not in my fleet.
So my idea is this, introduce a new safety, that works just like the red safety, except colour it purple, like the fleet colour, and make it so that you cannot shoot the people you are in fleet with but allows you to freely repair them with your drones/modules.
I feel this would be a welcome change, since of course it would be optional to use, and you can still play the game as you normally would, if you don't want to have this option, then just set your safety to red/orange anyway. But it would make it easier to do both logi AND dps without accidentally shooting your fleet mates.
Please consider this. Thanks |

Like I said, if I'm flying a DPS boat and my main job is to shoot at people but I'm expected to multi-task enemies as well as repair friendlies with my logi drones, things can get hectic. Accidents happen. This idea and OPTION would pretty much eliminate the unwanted friendly fire. Why hate on it? |

the target retical does have purple icons on for fleet. Green for corp. Red for wardecs. Orange for FW targets.
Cant remember if it colours by standings though

It's known as target management.
You know you can drag targets around and sort them, right? You can even drag targets and create a second row. Yeah, it's slightly more work, but if you're running a dual role in fleet, then you should be able to handle it. Otherwise, stick to one role or the other.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.
Hello, Mr Carebear. Would you like some cheese with that whine?

There's no reason logi shouldn't have more tools to provide the important information they need, especially considering they do a lot more work than anyone else in the fleet.

No guns on Logi. Fit more reppers instead. You have no reason to be locking up hostiles mid fight. Lock up more of your watchlist if you have locks to spare.
The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

They could always just stop locking enemy target since their job is to rep and not kill. It really easy to manage your targets once you start just doing your job instead of doing your job and something you are entirely NOT designed to do. |

Assign your drones to someone else.
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Sometimes we run gangs of spider tanking AF's. Locking up friendlies and hostiles is not so rare. But honestly, the OP's problem already has a solution as i mentioned earlier.
