Speaking of a Scoop to Cargo Hold button on the MTU window.
It would also be really convienient to have 'Stack All ' button say at the bottom of open inventory windows.
I use that particular option a lot, and anything you need to do a lot through a pop-up right-click menu kind of sucks.
So it would be rather handy to have a button for that one.

If you don't like right click dropdowns I would seriously question whether anything in Eve is good for you. I'm not saying it's a perfect UI but it sure as hell beats a ton of random buttons to do everything. |

Drop down menus are fine for options that are less frequently used.
I suspect that people use 'Stack All' more frequently than other options you find on that menu.
As this button (or any others) would show up at the bottom of the inventory window I don't think they'd be that intrusive.
It could be an iconized button to be smaller. Or it could show up at the top of the window like the current options for how you want to view the inventory.

It also makes it more intuitive for new players.

Right-click and drop down menus are intuitive for new players, they are rather standard in eve's interface, and "easy" buttons are extra clutter that is not needed. It is not "intuitive" for the new user, it is another piece of confusion, but people understand right click drop and drag menus intuitively. Its kind of a GUI standard.

EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.

Ah, let's not forget about Zimmer's butt boy. (Or is that the other way around).
Every time I come back, CCP has made more of the improvements and additions I've hoped for or might have suggested had I thought of them, and you guys are still here, apparently bemoaning and wondering why this game is no longer the bland confusing unimaginative excel spreadsheet you grew up with.
I suspect you've failed to see how a lot of the interface improvements CCP has made over the years made things better and more intuitive. So forgive me if I don't take the ever present naysaying cabal's opinions too seriously.
This was a very simple suggestion, so I don't think much explanation is warranted. Would an easily accessible button for a commonly used function within one's inventory be more intuitive than a a drop down right click menu option you need to navigate through? Yes.
Is it only one more click? Yes. That's double the numer of clicks. From 5000 over the course of a year to 10,000 . |

That's the point at which you've officially lost the debate.

When you post a suggestion, the denizens of F&I consider it our duty to poke as many holes in it as we possibly can. Do not take this personally, as we do this to ensure that suggestions are a benefit to the game as a whole, not just a handful of players. We do not simply take you at your word that an idea you put forth for the sole reason of improving your own game play is a benefit to the game as a whole.
Your job is to use logic and reasoning to defend your suggestion. Becoming angry because we do not agree with your assertions is not how you convince people you have a good idea.

Sure Iain, that's not what I've seen from you and yours here.
I couldn't care less about your opinions on this particular idea. I think it already stands on pretty solid ground. There isn't much to defend about it. And I've already done so effectively as far as I'm concerned.
But since I'm newly back in town, and see you and your cohorts still actively chiming in on every idea, largely belittling the ideas if not also the proposer of the idea as well (or at the very least showing little respect to members of the EVE community - as if you need to take your griefing PvP from inside the game out to the forums), I figured initially rather than ignoring you guys (which is my intent unless you want to present a respectful dialog about proposed ideas without demeaning it), I have to at least, make it clear where I stand on my opinion of your fellows opinions. Since I see you guys still up to the same antics of making the EvE community a hostile place even outside of the game where it doesn't belong. |

FoxFire Ayderan wrote:more stuff not worth quoting Your arguments to support this idea so far:
- You want it.
- One extra click is too much effort for you.
- Think of the children.
1. The fact that you want it is not sufficient justification, on its own, for this suggestion. 2. Of the millions of clicks you input into the game during the course of a year, a few thousand clicks is a fractionally infinitesimal amount, not really worth the time and money CCP would have to invest to implement your idea. 3. Any time someone uses the phrase "for new players" in a suggestion not specifically targeted towards the NPE, they are committing a logical fallacy.
Now, are you going to attempt to argue the points you've brought up, or are you going to remain with your straw-man tactics?
