This has only just struck me now, but I'm very aware that this idea might have occurred to others from Day Zero...in which case, sorry! :)
I don't really mind the longish jumps that agents usually (though not always, of course) send you on - seems a fair price for the new content. I'm not the greatest fan of them, though.
1). To cut down travel time a bit, identify the general area to where the agent usually sends you - of course, there are always outliers that pop up closer if you're lucky, but you can generally be sure that there's one or two particular areas where most of the missions will spawn. For example, in the case of missions from Apanake, that would most likely be near Madomi, Emsar (I'm sure you can find others), or in the case of missions from Osmon, the prime target will probably be Reison.
2). If you have the resources, you then proceed to buy complete fits and hulls (plus ammo and cap charges, and anything else you'll need) for all the ships that you'll be running Burners with.
3). Have all this stuff sent to the systems you identified earlier.
4). When offered a Burner mission, you can now travel in style (and speeeeeeeed!) between your mission site and agent station! I use a speedy-fit interceptor with an MSE, to (help) protect against smartbombing camps that you sometime find in the odd lowsec system along your path. Near-perfect safety.
5). ???
6). Profit!
Obviously, there is a not-insignificant cost to having duplicate fitted hulls lying around the place. It's not particularly cheap. However, I have found that jetting around in an interceptor not only cuts down travel time significantly - less noticeable if you're flying to a mission in your Garmur, much more so if you're in an Onyx - but also, because of the time saving, you can proceed to the next mission a bit quicker than if you were covering 5+ jumps in a cruiser.
Yes, this is for the terminally lazy.

It's a good idea. Especially for relatively cheap fits like the Garmur team Burner. I like your anti smart-bombing Interceptor setup - definately the way to go. It's not so much being terminally lazy as it is bored to death while stuck in warp.
When we can get mission agents in our own Citadels, then we'll be rockin'...

The anti-smartie fit came particularly in useful on the way back to Osmon, coming through Akora, when a disco geddon tried to get me with 8 large ones. 30% shield and off I jumped....

Yup - inertia stabs and a nanofibre. Not sure if that's the optimal getup, but it seems to work well enough :) I've lost a Wolf (I think it was) to a camp going through that area...luckily, it was on the way out, but it would've been especially painful if the cargohold had a Dark Blood Warp Scram or something!

So far, I am getting much less irritated by the trolls and the like, as their nonsense gibberings are much more transparent than before. Give them a try!

Somewhat related, but I can't say enough good things about having the ability to utilize a Blockade Runner for moving salvage. There's something to be said for sitting off the Jita 4-4 undock while Tornados and Thrashers run scan after futile cargo scan... or maybe it's the ability to be completely cloaked midway to your safe undock. With Hyperspacial rigs, inertial stabs and Ascendancy implants this will rival an Interceptor for travel (and the 4000m3 of cargo space certainly doesn't hurt, either). Who needs EHP when you're cloaked!
It doesn't come in black, so I'll have to settle for the mottled dark gray/Palatinate of the EOM variation.

Not sure if the extra dock/undock and warp would be compensated for by the faster warp speed.

Yeah, pootling around in frigates aren't too painful, but being faced with a 13+ jump roundtrip route in an Onyx just makes me groan a little.

It's not just handy having Burner fits stashed in areas near frequent mission spots, but it also works great stashing Burner fits at multiple L4 agents that are nearby.

Yes, exactly! For example, as I mission in Osmon, there are already two L4 agents in system - plus another one in Wuos, a couple of jumps away. Cycling between these in an interceptor and to the further-flung mission sites makes it quite easy to rack up a load of missions at any one time and knocking them down - and sometimes you get particularly lucky, if the agents send you to the same (or close) systems.
That's a good day

That's a good day Indeed it is. I got 3 Team Burner missions in a row all 1 jump out yesterday from an alternate agent (two of which the destination was the system of the previous agent, go figure). So sometimes it's just a matter of venturing outside your normal missioning patterns. Can't wait to see what CCP comes up for agents and Citadels down the road...

I'd still prefer a regional mission market so you don't have to dock and undock hundreds of times a day to accept missions...

Just for kicks I looked into R&D agents as one aspect of the game I hadn't tinkered around with yet. Probably 60 or more jumps between them, and less than a day into it there "was a problem" , so now I have to back and find out the bad news in-person. Can't they just send me an email...?
Would it be wrong to lure all the L4 R&D agents into a Citadel and then blow it up?

Not wrong at all - I gave up dancing to the R&D agents' tune years ago, and now they just sit there, quietly researching away. I don't care if it's free money, I refuse to play their sick and twisted running-around game!
