Good for him, bought all that pretty isk. I earned by OMGwtfPWNmobile aka my Zealot of doom. I'm 9 months old and I'll be all the happier when I *****that pretty Dread the first time he feels tough enough to come into low-sec.

Originally by: JForce Within a system, a dread uses its capacitor to warp like any other ship. It does not require fuel.
However to get from one system to another, you need another ship to gang with you, and then open a cynosaural field using a cyno generator.
The generator uses fuel.
The dread itself must have the fuel it needs in its cargo hold. Then it can jump to the gang member who has opening the cyno field.
The amount of fuel used depends on the distance travelled and the relevant level of skill of the pilot.
be careful with it :) Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes - Devil ([email protected]) |

Edited by: DOGNOSH on 23/02/2007 14:14:43 Guys, lame or not it's allowed, he'll find out soon enough when he loses his dread
and remember, there is only one way to buy a dread capable character, from vets like yourself, who use the money to "quicken" their own goals like buying BPOs or funding a war
so lay off this guy, he will hurt soon enough when he loses his dread or won't take it out of it's station for fear of losing it -------------------------

there's a lot of jealousy going on in here. Please, just let this guy play the game the way he wants and don't act as if he has committed a crime against you. If he's got more isk than you; guess he's smarter in acquiring it (no matter how he got it). If he's got more skills than you have; too bad, you chose to play the game differently.
But for f*cks sake; if you don't have anythinig constructive to add to the post, please don't post at all and try and make some more ISK yourself so you can buy that damn Moros
(and no, this post isn't really useful either to the OP either but that becausae the answer has already been given.)
kthxbye

LOL
I'm going to keep track of this guy. His posts should be amusing. I wanna see the one where he finds out about non-consensual PvP while in his shiny new dread.
lol, leave the poor guy alone.
This thread has me in stitches, but I think he gets the idea now.

Yes, it is jealousy, in fact I evemail dread owners who got theirs through hard work and dedication calling them lame for buying ISK because I am jealous.
Wait, no, that's utterly nonsensical, how could I or anyone else seriously suggest that? --------------------

Ah I'm not going to stalk him or anything, it's just, this guy is funny, and scamming and privateers-type threads are funny, so this guy in one of those threads having just lost his dread to a gatecamp or having sold it for 1 ISK would be a special treat I wouldn't want to miss. --------------------

This game is not fair to new players. due to skills are directly related to how long you have played this game. sooo. no. i did not get instructions from eve.

Greetings.
Allow me to explain, as someone who has only been playing eve for a short time. You see, you do not need to have 40 million skill points to compete in this game. The idea that one must buy a character to play is patently false.
One can contribute in Eve in a myriad of ways with as low as a couple million SP. Even if you want to pew pew with the big dogs, you simply tailor your character toward that end, and voila. You can be a very competent tackler, or support vessle within a few months of starting. If you plan on playing long term, do your learning grind, and watch the rest of your skill train times melt away. It may take six months to a year to get yourself up and running so to speak, but those i think you will find are some of the happiest times of you life in Eve.
You will never know the joy of undocking in your first Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Battleship, or covops ship. You will never know the shame of dying on pirate blockade over and over because you are too lazy to fit the proper hardeners. You will never train that new uber Advanced drone interface thinking you can then have 10 drones only to realize you wasted the last month of your life because you aren't flying a carrier. You will never think you are invicible because your friend has a megathron and you have a remote armor repairer. But I digress.
The idea is that you will have more -fun- in this game if you play it yourself, like those before you, rather then simply buying your way to the top, regardless of the means used to do so. By taking the time to grow up yourself, you also learn a bit of politics, whos naughty and whos nice, who sided with BoB and who sided with the Goons. I am keenly interested in watching the war unfold, who metagames, and who whines the most, as I know in a year or so I may want to join a 0.0 alliance, and I will remember the actions of the few. When I do so, I will not be a noob in a cap ship, I will be the backbone of their PvP force, eager and young, ready to pew pew for the cause. And when i ask, How does a ******* cyno field work? They will be happy to show me, because Im the guy in the Scorpion jamming the *******s trying to blow their fancy cap ships up. :D
Sorry for the long post.

Sillpoints /= skill
kowing how to use what skillpoints you've got is more valuable than any sum of skillpoints. If johnny mcretard over there has 40m skillpoints, but only 1 mil are actually being used in his current ship, the other 39m skillpoints just make his clone more expensive.
And by the way, I rule you.

Well one thing is for sure. If you bought that char+dread to have more fun in Eve, boy , are you wrong. Even if you knew the game like the back of your hand, the times of dread action resembling anything remotely fun are very very very rare

To the OP I know a GREAT place for you to go! Look for a region called fountain, then look for these bunch of friendly guys they call themselfs BOB, they will happily give you a crash course in how to pilot a dread.
If you wake up in a station ... thats ok that means you just leveled up to a level 2 egg.
(yes they do hatch)
