Hey all.
Here's the question: Is there any way to have signatures that have been ignored or fully scanned persist through system changes/docks? I'm trying to find a way to avoid seeing or having to scan down the same signatures when I enter a system for a second time. What I've been doing up to this point is just making a notepad with the system and the sigs in each system but if there's any way for the game to do this automatically then that would be nice. |

Try Tripwire designed for Whs but maybe it's working in k-space.

No way in game. Tripwire should work. Notepad definitely works. |

I use Pirate's Little Helper for that. It does exactly, what you are looking for.

Nice apps. I use to do it the old skool way.
First I'd bookmark all signatures in the system and then whenever I re-entered the system, I'd launch 1 probe, size it down to it's smallest radius and scan each bookmark showing in the Solar System map. If the signature was no longer there, I'd delete the bookmark. If the signature was still there, I'd select 'Ignore' for that signature in the scan results box. After checking all the bookmarks, I'd then do a regular system wide probe scan to see if any new signatures had spawned.
It actually doesn't take long to verify all of the signature bookmarks with 1 probe set to it's smallest scan radius. However I don't know if that method is still viable what with all the different 3rd party apps available nowadays.

It depends on your surroundings. In a wormhole even a single probe can be a telltale sign that someone is there. The really oldschool way is to write down the initials of the signals and simply compare when reentering the system. |

I do it with a spreadsheet. A region has it's own tab and systems are arranged by constellation.
In a new system after I have scanned all the sigs I will Select All/Copy all from the probe results window and paste into the spreadsheet. If I come back I will compare the spreadsheet with the new sigs.

Well, you're still launching a probe to check the signatures again after writing them down, right?

Why should I? If they are still on the overview with the same name, they are the same signatures. Aren't they? |
