Im having more success with the 1400mm howitzer then Tachyon and its probably due to lack of gunnery skills (1.2 mill) I waisted alot of time on missles which i dont use anymore...
I can have a great tank (3 1600 mm plates, t2 dc, named adaptive nano, 2 named medium reppers, and rcu.
5 1400 mm howitzer, 2 named large nos and dlu...
This along with sentry drones easly made me retire my raven...
I try it with tachyon and I just cant have the success..Even PVE setups dont work for me with beams...
My alliance is D2 renters, Im sorta obligated to pvp 4 hours a night...
Any suggestion on how to improve beam dmg, or am I not totaly screwing the amarr race up by using minmitar weapons...

What a waste of two bonuses. Use the apoc or the abaddon. Then you're only wasting one bonus.

To be fair, he's not wasting the cap usage bonus. 25% bonus to cap usage is still beaten by zero cap guns.
That said, the Geddon's sweet spot is that ROF bonus, and you're losing that. Mega Beams are the way forward. You don't have the grid to use Tachs as effectively. |

stop.
STOP.
STOPPPP.
stop using a BS with shabby gunnery skills. STOP. dont make me come up thier and POD you.
Start using LARGE ARMOUR REPS. Beams are useless with shabby gunnery skills, get a tackler if you gotta pvp, for the sake of the empire and my sanit stop using that geddon.

try
7x dual hvy beams (large guns) 1x hvy nos
3x cap rechargers
1x large acco rep/t2 rep 3x active hardners 2x heat sink 2s 2x cpr's
start from there and mess around a bit with that, you will probably have a bit better luck then the 5x 1400's on the arma (shudder). if you insest that the 1400's are better, maybe switch to a tempest that will give you an rof and a dmg bonus to the 1400's

High: 7 x Megapulse II (or dual heavy pulse II if you are having CPU issues)
Med: 2 x Sensor Booster II (faster lock + counter damps to some extent) 1 x Conunctive ECCM (counters jammers) - or instead of ECCM 1 x scrambler/web/sensor damp/tracking disrupt/target painter depending on taste
Low: 3 x 1600 plates (Tungstens), 2 x EAN II, 3 x Heatsink IIs...
Drones: 5 x Heavies
Rigs (if you have the cash): 3 x trimark armor pumps
Not a good boat for flying solo but in a fleet it will do severe damage (use lasers to benefit from Geddons ROF bonus) and if you are called primary the 3 x 1600's (and trimarks if you have them) will give you +25,000 armour points to soak up plenty of damage - giving your corp m8s the chance to kill a few enemies before you go down.
Gank and (some) tank...

1. If it has a damage bonus for specific guns, try to use it. It helps.
2. 1.2m SP is barely enough for cruiser guns to be effective. think 5m+ for BS.
3. Loads of HP with poor resists is a waste of PG/CPU. Check out the hardners, they help.
4. Skill your gunnery.
5. Those dual med reps. Why? Do you have poor fitting skills, if so, train them up.
6. Despite what some people think, youŠre generally more useful in a ship that matches your SP level. BS for you looks like it may need some more time. Use that time to mes around with fittings on cheaper ships, the principles remain through the size classes.
I know this isnŠt a specific writeup but you need to get some basics of fitting a ship or youŠre going to have these problems with every new ship you fit. Hope it helps. -

Didnt notice that - but at least he has something to aim for... its a damn fine setup
Anyway he can use modulated megapulse and other tech 1 stuff quite easily for what will still be a good ship if not quite so lethal...
Stop being so critical...

I know for a FACT that Laythun uses blasters on his geddon
To the OP... stop flying the geddon or start training lasers

Maybe use medium guns for a while.... and not on a Geddon, try a Maller or a Prophecy.

OMG that's hilarious. dude... have u any idea how quick it is to train minmatar bs to lvl4? doesn't take long at all and i assure u a tempest will do much better with artillery than a geddon.
plus for the record, haveing 4 1600 plates and 2 medium reppers is not a 'great' tank.

For the n00b geddon
7 x Dual heavy beam whit gamma (get modulated they're dirt cheap) 1 x Heavy NOS
1 x Traking Comp 1 x Cap Recharge 1 x 100MN AB
1 x Large Rep 1 x Exp Hardener 1 x Kinetic Hardener 1 x EANM 1 x DC 1 x Heatskin 2 x Capacitor Power Relay 5 x Beseker I (Exp Heavy Drones)
CPU might be a problem for you so if that's the case drop the EANM and fit a CPU upgrade or another Capacitor Power Relay
