Im not a huge fan of this signal Disruption the game has. And after watching a movie, i just felt like putting an idea out there. (not that it really matters, just adds something 'different' to the game.
No more weird 'webbing' devices. Just shot an EMP missile that screws up their engines.. (different kinds for different races, as they all over different colour engines.
No More Warp scrambling tech. Warp Disruption Missiles will damage ships warp engine for a short time.
Disruption Bomb. Changes the warp prob for interdictors to a kind of (EMP lets say) Bomb, that has the same radius, but is less of a weird bubble, and more of a particle bomb. (anything in its radius is effected for a certain duriation. Same as the probe)
The reason why im posting this, is because its an Idea.. It would also add things to the game like. Person A jumps through a gate, and person B wants to stop and kill Person A.
Nomraly, its about lock time, and how fast u can click the warp scrambler
Instead i would like to see, lock and fire! Giving person A ~'insert missile flight time'~ to enter warp before Pilot B can hold, and kill him..
That and, missiles and Bombs seem a lot more realistic. In comparison to warp probes, scramblers and Webber's.
These would now all be high slots, as offensive missiles. (or stay the same, what ever.) It would make ships do less damage, yes, (because less damage weapons, more Strangle to death. (like nos)) But thats normaly where your friends come in.
I guess there are complications with any idea, but, its a start, and I wanted to send it out. mehh We are one, but we are many, and from all the space out there we come. I am, you are, we are all EvE Landers! |

I would say, way too much advantage for Caldari. what will become an interceptor like the Amarr Crusader which as now Launcher slot....
But I like your idea of having Warp scramble "timed" effectiveness or "a chance to". Pretty much like ECM, Scrambler could have 50% chance to scramble the engine for a given frame of time. So in the even there is two tackler on you, you still have chance to escape the fight which is a lot less frustrating. Especialy if they nerf the heavy NOSFERATUS with signal, Battleship will have much more hard time to get rid of smaller ship. And it will raise the need to have new player playing tackler !! :)
