Last night the Imperial fleet of the Forsaken Empire engaged and destroyed several squadrons of Gurista pirates in the Vale of the Silent. Each Gurista squadron consisted of 10-14 tech level 2 Moa class cruisers and 1-2 Scorpion class Battleships.
While at not time were the forces of the Empire in serious danger the Guristas put up a fantastic fight damaging several Imperial vessels.
The nature of the Gurista fleet tactics were unusual; on two occasions the fleet warped in at 50km from the asteroid belt and held its position; waiting to see how the Gurista fleet would react. To the surprise of the imperial fleet commander the Guristas warped to engage imperial forces and they found themselves in a beehive of hybrid charges and missiles.
All in all bounties of 1 mil isk, 85,000 isk, 50,000 isk and so forth were awarded to participating ship captains. In the first engagement the imperial fleet consisted of 9 ships, each captain made about 120,000 isk per encounter. And the battle was thick even with 9 battleships. Later 3 more ships joined and the fighting became a slaughter.
One adventurous captain engaged a fleet single-handedly and was able to wear it down by kiting (making the Guristas chase him) the fleet. He managed to escape death several times by warping out and warping back in at a new distance. This captain was very skilled that that type of tactic and the Empire does not recommend ship captains engage in such heroism until they are confidant that they can survive.
The Imperial Martial Virtues Council has met to re-evaluate the current emerging technologies and their affect on Imperial Naval Tactics. Last nights campaign against the Guristas incursion was a wealth of information for the councilÆs research.
The outcome of the Guristas campaign has also boosted the confidence of the Imperial Admiralty in that despite the technology changes affecting in the galaxy the Forsaken Empire is stronger then ever.
The Emperor has issued a travel warning to all who would seek to hunt the Guristas within The Vale of the Silent and Lonetrek Regions. ô0.0 Space has become a retched hive of scum and villainy! You should be cautious!ö
A spokesman for Huff Technologies Industrial Bureau had made this statement when asked if the Guristas threat would pose a problem to Imperial mining operations. His reply; ôGuristas, NVA, SAS, six of these half dozen of thoseà itÆs all chicken!ö Imperial mining operations have continued in earnest. Admiral Bandit24, CEO of Huff Technologies was seen outside of the Moon 3 station in FDZ in an Iteron V. When asked what he felt about the situation he replied ôDam look at the cargo space in this monsterà whoot!ö Apparently he is not fazed by the change of events.
This concludes this report.

I believe one of the comments made. "These rats put up a better fight than the NVA".
We thank the generousity of the great Jovian Creators for allowing Crice Corp to partake in the research of new technologies and have some special "Benefits", more to come.
As agreed upon with the Joves we will put these new technologies to great use.
