The sounds of mining laser will haunt your children's nightmares and in every roid they will see your face.
And in twenty odd years you will wonder why your children never visit. Or want anything to do with you whatsoever for that matter....
Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format.
Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

I spent 2 hours in my retriever last night mining ice, not roids. Was calming and somewhat profitable. Did some Arduino coding on my other monitor. Warped out when a frisky Ishtar came in the field, was basically full anyway, but wasn't going to wait around for the punch line if it offered one. I haven't heard of a gank Ishtar but anything is possible.

Hmm. You might have to fly Anti-Ganking patrol around them while they do that. Otherwise they might just get themselves ganked straight off and make you try to prove to mom that 2 hours of mining is feasible. Patrol's not that difficult, but you have to spend your time doing it, what's the benefit? Parenting is hard.
But, on the other hand, it is the novice usually who gets the famous ace by doing at some moment the unexpected thing.

I think you may have been a little hasty.

Better hasty than Code non-compliant. Miners in highsec at keyboard, paying attention, aligned, and warping off when potential threat appears. The Code always wins, always.

Eh, I was one tick shy of a full load, was packing up to go anyway. Had to put the kid to bed as well, lots of other pressures, but did enjoy the calm mining session. Pilot wasn't CODE at all, so it was a long shot of any issue there. I haven't seen any CODE pilot around the area in a long time... Starting to think they're a myth.

In what will come as NO surprise to New Order fans across Eve, James 315 has already addressed this exact matter:
http://www.minerbumping.com/2014/01/the-family-that-mines-together.html
Highsec is worth fighting for.
By choosing to mine in New Order systems, highsec miners have agreed to follow the New Halaima Code of Conduct.-á www.minerbumping.com

I think his point is that if it was in high sec the chances are pretty good that no one suicides an ishtar to kill a mining ship.....
