Currently ores available in system are determined by system security class. Details can be found here : http://www.eveinfo.net/complexes/index~22.htm
This was not touch for ages, i wish to start conversation about adjusting this for nullsec, especially NPC null sec where people cannot install ore upgrades. Fountain : one system at class 4 Delve : one system at class 1 Outer Ring : one system at class 7 and 6 Syndicate : 10 systems at class 2, nothing above Stain : two systems that have class 2, nothing above Curse : one system at 1 class, nothing above Great Wildlands : two system at class 7 and 6 Venal : 4 systems at class 7 , 3 systems at class 6
NPC regions or npc systems in specific region don't offer opportunities for mining groups (excluding ice mining): Delve, Fontain, Syndicate, Stain, Curse
What we need from CCP : - modifications to regions above to provide us with 2-3 systems that have class 6 or 7 in the regions above - downgrading this ore by security scheme, and allow better ore spawns in NPC regions. |

you should fight for it, ergo go in sov space and fight for it. that's if you want better ore.
if not stay in npc space or return in highsec and start mining again or you can propose to have null's ore in high sec, that's another awesome idea.

This is not about moving back to higsec, or about fighting for sov - not all people are interested in sov, sov require dedication and no real life commitments. NPC nullsec need buffs in multiple directions.
This is not thread for features and ideas ( don't know much about mining) and my intention is to start discussion about this topic.
Goal is to create opportunity for people to mine in NPC nullsec, as now it is better to mine in higsec that in NPC nullsec. |

Bullshit, it's already had far too many buffs to ore recently, if you don't know much about mining how exactly does it concern you anyway?
There's already multiple threads urging miners to go to null because of the MUCH better profit, if anything we need null ore anoms spawning in HS to balance it up.

You want better ore => you fight for sov. You don't fight for sov => you don't get better ore.

If you want the benefits of owning Sov, go take some Sov. If you want to live under the umbrella of NPC 0.0, without the logistical headaches, and expenses, of planting a flag, then accept there's going to be limitations.
NPC Null already offers a ton of benefits for those who enjoy mission running and other such NPC activities.

I don't desire best ore in eve, simply ore that is better than in higsec.
Sov mining is connected to ore upgrades. NPC null mining is system belt mining. Totally different things - even without having a single character that is capable of mining (thank you extractors) i am aware of this. |

Have to agree with the OP.
Over the years CCP has constantly buffed Sov nullsec yet has either overlooked or just plain ignored NPC nullsec.
This would definitely be a good balance project for CCP Dev's to work on. First they did Ship Tiericide, then it was Module Tiericide. They can do this and call it Space Tiericide.

Go scan a wormhole, find a belt inside and mine it. Best ore in eve.
There are anoms with those ores that show up in npc null anyways. opportunistic people get them first.

What needs to be buffed is the frequency and distributions of ore anoms that spawn in NPC null rather than static belts. This way its not a miners paradise and is still dependent on RNG factors as well as that NPC null needs to be limited in a lot of ways, this being one of them.
By tweaking the spawn rates and compositions CCP would much better be able to control ore distributions throughout New Eden rather than binding static belts and spawn rates to areas.
Thought tbh I am of the mind if you want the best of null go claim some sov.
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.
Had to end sometime.

I can't support this. We already have a slight increase in the LoSec grade Ore anomalies spawning in HiSec. I mine them fairly regularly and the main benefactors are small players like me in a 'small' way, but the huge benefactors are the larger HiSec mining corps that come in with an ORCA and a half dozen Mackinaws/Skiffs. Yes, they need to pay the bills that those ships generate when they are purchased, but in just a few of those fields they are paid for and it's pure profit after that.
A NullSec ore belt in HS would be mined out in a matter of hours. The odds of the smaller HiSec corps or solo players benefitting would be minimal since most of us are occasional players. The larger mining corps almost always have someone on and scouting for fields so they'd pounce on those NullSec fields faster and deplete them faster.
As a HiSec player, I'd stay with the Ore anomalies Sec-1 one or cross region like they are currently. LoSec should get NullSec Ore anomalies. NullSec should get some other kinds of rare anomalies or Relic/Data sites to run, maybe more WH content.
Be Positive GÇó Change yourself first, New Eden will come later GÇó EVE is Awesome GÇó CCP isn't the enemy GÇó Players are people too GÇó Where're the clothing blueprints GÇó Yeah, I'm still learning this game

you do realize that you can add mining upgrades to an ihub so even ****** space will have belts with abc right?
you either fight for better space, or take a ****** system and work to build it up and defend it from someone who wants to take your stuff.
thats how it works
