I am trying to find my forum post. I am finding it difficult to keep track of my posts and can't find the search form area. Could someone tell me how to find these posts and/or mark posts to follow. ALso, is there an email message area on the web page where I get Private messages?
Plus, can I get emails when there is a post to my forum posts or private message area.

The forum tools are fairly limited.

Click your avatar, and you'll be able to see the last 10 threads you posted in.
You can also use the Search Box (top-right) with limited results, or try getting the knack of Chribba's EVE-Search.

No, you cannot select getting e-mails for forum responses. The board does not support PM's, either.

I think you double-posted a recent one, about the RP. It might be consolidated (or had a forum section shift).

I think that's a mistake form my viewpoint - at least as a suggesstion. I crossposted as each forum seemed to be the right place to post my message to make sure other players saw it to meet my starting needs.
Also, If that is innapropiate the new player guild should make a point about crossposting. Again I think my message is important and wanted to make sure players saw it and I got good responces from a variety.
In my experience players only check a few forums and not all of the revelant ones and I just wanted to make sure the word got out. If innapropiate then there should be a guide, in the new players guide, that points out the basics of forum etquitte. I know that many forums have a please read this section that many players ignore or don't know the importance to reading. This seems to make it difficult to absorb all the info for a newbie to get started.

On the left, just below the forums links is, you'll see a Rules' link. I guess this two address what's been happening here: Originally by: Rules 12 Spamming and bumping are prohibited. Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community spirit and are unwelcome.
14 Redundant threads will be deleted. As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.
So, don't post in every forum. Once is enough. It's not only good forum ettiquete but good nettiquete in general.
And have fun.

I would question if I have actually spamed. the definition below say nonsensical posts that have no substance. If my posts have substance and purpose, which I feel they do, is that still considered spam as the messages were appropiate to the forums that I posted to.
Some people might look in newbie forums and not the OOC or IC forums or the general forum. I wanted to make sure anyone skimming forums might have a chance of seeing my post as revelent to the forums and to my desire to find a good way to start while still trying to fit into the nature of each forum posted.
In the future I will attempt to limits my posts to a couple of forums until I better understand the SPAM definition and it's effect on the community. Thanks for the link though.
