This tactic would require eight armies - one for each route into BoB territory:
The Eight Armies Other alliances could join these larger alliances:
DUSK AND DAWN (2003 members) - Suggested attack route: through Outer Ring. Outer Ring could serve as their rally point.
LOTKA VOLTERA (3019 members) - Suggested attack route: through Omist. Omist would also make a good, currently existing, rally point.
AGAINST ALL AUTHORITIES (849 members) - Suggested attack route: Stain in the direction of Period Bias. They would have to suggest their best rally point.
GOONSWARM (2582 members) - Attack route and re-group location ?
RED ALLIANCE (692 members) - Attack route and re-group location ?
INTERSTELLAR ALCOHOL CONGLOMERATE (1541 members) - Attack route and re-group location ?
RAZOR ALLIANCE (877 members) - Attack route and re-group location ?
TAU CETI FOUNDATION (912 members) - Attack route and re-group location ?
Eve favours attackers, and an attack by BoB would be particulary savage. Therefore, instead of attacking the BoB fleet, I suggest we use the eight fleets above of 200-300 ships to attack their static targets - the space stations or slow moving large ships. If BoB's fleet appears - run to the nearest 1.0 or 0.9 area, or just keep running to occupy BoB. The other seven fleets of ours can still keep distroying their static targets or BoB stragglers.
There are eight routes into BoB territory, so an army of 200-300 ships per route (1600-2400 ships in total) sounds right.
Most ships should be equipped to: 1) Distroy large static targets. 2) Have speed to run from the BoB fleet. 3) Be able to salvage the parts from space stations/titans etc.
If you can think of reason(s) why this tactic would not work, please voice your opinion.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Yes, and we can use public channels to broadcast our tactics to eachother. This is PERFECT! -----

If 1600-2400 people are involved, I don't think any tactic can be kept secret.
The beauty of the plan is that it's very difficult to counter. It doesn't have to be kept secret.
How would you counter it? If you could counter it, have you any suggestions as to how it might be improved?

You could be a BoB alt trying to guide your enemies into pre-set attack routes. (I've got this tinfoil hat on discount and I intend to use it.)
And this is all pointless anyway. The folks in charge of their various alliances will execute whatever plans they have without consulting some goofy forum alts anyway.
But jabber, jabber, jabber if it makes you happy.
I do.

Ok, I'm listening! How would "spies and bribery / Standard war tactics" work against the plan?

I would just advise you to stop talking tactics for a bunch of alliances you have no influence in
It doesn't help you aren't very aware of what's going on, nor the mechanics of fleet combat (as highlighted by your last thread), but your decision to throw this in a public forum, and the wrong section, finalises anything you were attempting to do

Sorry to go on like this, but what's wrong with the principle of the plan above?

I've read a bit about it.
I've read attacking is better than defending. Therefore, attack BoB stations while their fleet is somewhere else.

In theory , it is possible for even a new player to get involved in global politics... but at least do your homework before you post. Lotka Volterra is allied with BoB

Jack, it's pretty simple. The word BoB ****es people off! (anyway, the corporation discussion subforum would probably get better responses to this type of question.)

Is it me or does every suggestion for trying to defeat BoB on this forum always involve just plain "Shoot this until it pops or you pop"?
Be more creative, will you?

Sounds like the Goons All they do is leave a target rich enviroment, or crash a node, and win that way. Since, apparently that isn't an exploit. |

I find it personaly quite pathetic that the only ones (most) that are against this are all alt posters. The tactic is on the other hand still pretty bad mainly because of how much the servers can handle however in theory it could work with infinate bandwidth on the servers; but sadly most allianced are too into making their own mistakes to actually flaunt a possible joint operation.
And omg, look, I didnt post with my alt! w00t. ------------ Peregrinus Amarria
