That is the question I've been asking myself for the better part of a week. As many of you probably have in the past, I am a WoW player. I played EvE on an off for the first year of its life, and tried it again when I got home from Iraq last December. I lasted about a week and a half. Having been playing wow constantly now for the last 3 months, I am getting bored of the useless pvp and same quests over and over. I need that "fix" if you will, that WoW does not provide. I guess I am just looking for somebody to convince me to come back (if that makes sense). Any feedback on the current state of the game, any info...etc etc.

WoW has no depth. And since all the activities at level 70 are the exact same thing as they were at level 60 in a new setting, I'm coming back here. WoW is intolerable for me now.

Throw off your WoW shackles and enjoy the freedom that is EVE. If you have found EVE boring in the past then try new things, train for new ships, do something different! EVE lets you do those things.
And by the way, I cannot adequately express my thanks to you for your service to your country. I would be honored if you would join us here!
Sincerely, Asinia's player

Edited by: Grant Smith on 04/03/2007 04:19:20 To be frank, I am proud to be a member of the Eve Online community. All be it, that Eve did unfortunately screw over my higher education in the form of A-Levels and restricted me from being able to achieve my potential - but it is an awesomely fantastic game. I've tried to quit the game once, that was on the 19th December 2006 - after exactly two years of game play. Come January 16th I'd reactivated both my accounts. Tbh - Eve > WoW. No questions asked. Good luck!!

Nah, time to move back to what suits your fancy.
Games cater to different play types and there isn't one game that covers every play type.
Having said that, I should still fullfil my obligation to support Eve by insulting your obvious lack of <insert attribute here from the following: taste, intelligence, social life, spine, integrity, sense of humor, common sense or affinity towards others> and that returning to organized 'wack a mole' would benefit the world in some way shape or manner. There is always the recreational league....

Yeah that is probably the most intelligent statement posted on the forums in a good 18 months at least....
There is so much more to Eve than what people realize. PRoblem is, players sometimes get trapped into a an online social cliche and can't look past it once they believe that is the best way to play.
Getting right down to it, Eve is like an amusement park wheras WoW is like mini-putt. Much more variety and a better chance to get a little adreneline rush.
