Yep, the tank didn't change at all. The sites just take a little longer and be careful with neuts.

That what I would advise too. You can go with 3x shield extender and even with neuts you can have one invulnerability field on and orbit the anomaly with an afterburner.
Sleeper like switching targets a lot and when they go for your drones, recall them (drone navigation computer recommended but not necessary).

You're an idiot. Why post just to let him know you're a ****?
Yeah so easy Gila Fit. (Would recommend C2's not C3's in it.) Please note a key to this fit is having a mobile depot on hand and switching out as the encounter goes on.
Highs: Prototype Cloaking Device Rapid Light Missile Launcher x4
Mids: x4 Caldari Navy Large Shield Extender (Large Shield Extender II works as well) x1 Pithum B-Type EM Ward Amplifier (EM Ward II works as well) x1 Adaptive Invulnerability Field II (I use the Pithum B-Type Thermal Dissipation Amplifier because sometimes the Neuts kill your invuln and that's sad)
In your cargo bay: 50MN MicroWarp Drive
Lows: x3 Drone Damage Amplifier
In your Cargo Bay: x3 Shield Power Relay (Another reason I prefer the Thermal Dissipation Amplifier. These kill your Cap Regen which hurts your invlun field active mod.)
Rigs: x3 Medium Core Defense Field Purger I
Drones: Hammerhead II's and a flight of Warrior II's
So normally you go into a site with your MWD equipped instead of a LSE quickly get over to the middle of the site so nothing will be out of range for your drones. Then drop Mobile Depot and Mobile Tractor Unit and switch the MWD for LSE. Then as your Tank starts failing switch out your Drone Damage Amplifiers for the Shield Power Relays. You can tank any C2 Anomaly and most C3 but the C3's take so long to do I don't think it's worth it in a Gila.
Fitting a RattleSnake is about the same thing but Rapid Heavies in the High's and 3 DDA 3 BCU's. Rattlesnakes can do all C3's and some C4's. If you find a C4 Pulsar you are in heaven. C5 with Pulsar you can do some of those as well. |

Is there anywhere you feel the fit can be improved with good skills or slightly more expensive mods?

Elia does have a point though - relatively few people have absolutely no idea about how to fit a ship, and it would be much better to firstly suggest one so that others might critique it (with the OP hopefully learning something about fitting strategies in the process, thus paying dividends later on down the road), as opposed to merely being spoon-fed.

I'm personally a fan of t2 purger rigs. Yes, they're more expensive, but they let you keep damage amps in your lows for significantly longer. |

This is less a case of not knowing how to fit a ship and more a case of me not knowing what I should be fitting due to lack of practical experience.
Basically I know enough to know that I should just ask, rather than vomiting out something bad and asking for feedback, as well as potentially giving someone else who didn't read far enough bad information. |

He didn't ask your advice for fitting a Rattlesnake and insulting me won't help him figure this out either.
But since you are so clever with your eft "skills" I can tell you without any doubt that that fit will maybe run 2 c3 anomalies before he has to go back. Or won't if that hole happens to be a magnetar.
I always love it when people like you fit for maximum dps(esttest) without any further analyzing what he will be facing and if hovering his mobile fitting service is a good idea.

Nope sorry man you are still an idiot. In case you missed it. "(Would recommend C2's not C3's in it.)" "You can tank any C2 Anomaly and most C3 but the C3's take so long to do I don't think it's worth it in a Gila."
Insulting you AND THEN posting a fit and explaining it will help him though. Also with a passive shield tank you never go back. You just wait for a little bit. But shows how much you know :)
Also a Magnetar is a nice treat if you run into it. Sleepers aren't affected by wormhole effects so a Magnetar would just increase the speed at which you run the sites. You can also get away with doing more C3 sites in a Magnetar because you can burst down the main DPS Sleeper Battleships before they have a chance to break your tank.
Moving on...
Cade Windstalker wrote: Is there anywhere you feel the fit can be improved with good skills or slightly more expensive mods?
Yeah there are a few things you can do. You can put on T2 Purges rigs instead of T1 for more passive tank. You can use better faction resists, like A-Types etc. etc.
Eventually the bling isn't really worth it. The cost if you lose your ship can get very high and the efficiency you are getting stops being worth it when you know how to tank all of the sites. I'm not sure what the right balance is here so experiment with what works for you. I remember when I first started running around in the Gila/Snake in Wormholes I just used T2 so that's still viable though maybe not super efficient. I think your money would be better saved up for a RattleSnake so you could do C2 and C3 sites much much faster. It's just a bigger more powerful Gila, but at the same time I know the price tag could be a bit scary. That being said if you can afford it but this is your first time adventuring in Wormhole space, I would suggest you start out with a Gila so you could learn the ropes on a cheaper ship.
If you'd like I can sort of explain the set-up I used when I went solo crabbing in wormhole space.
Also a pro tip on the mobile depot -- Keep at least 2 warp core stabilizers in your cargo bay. If you happen to get tackled by an enemy ship that you aren't going to fight, you can quickly equip them to overpower his Warp Scram/Disruptor and get out of there alive. Also nice to keep an afterburner in case you get bubbled and scrammed so you could still have a fighting chance of getting away before reinforcements arrive. (Or if you get bubbled on a wormhole)
LMK if you have any more questions, I'm happy to share how to do it. |

You're probably not going to run into a hunter as much as just a wormhole denizen passing through who will try to gank you. Or whoever owns the hole you're hunting in.
If for some reason you can't get away, at the end of the day you ARE armed with rapid lights and you have a flight of warriors. You shouldn't have a problem bursting down a tackle frigate to GTFO (That being said then you can't use your mobile depot so make smart choices) |

I spent 8/9 months based from a C4, the Gila was perfect for the job with it's huge versatility. The available slot layout has changed since then, but you will be fine with the Gila as it is STILL an awesome ship to fly.
A cloaking device is pretty much an essential item in the fit along with a damage control.
The only real choice you have, Purgers or Extenders in the rigging slots both have an advantage that apply at different times. the purgers will be of most use whilst combating NPC's in the anomalies the extenders will give you more raw shield hp "if" you don't pay attention to d-scan and get attacked by other players.
neither of these choices will save you from exploding in the long run as the extenders just prolong the agony, but they also give your friends a little more time to show up and rescue you.

You ran C4 sites in a Gila?
And a damage control is a terrible terrible module to have if you are trying to run Sigs/Anoms in a passive shield tanked ship. Same with shield extender rigs. You'd have to constantly fly out and fly back in and your efficiency would be in the toilet.
Don't get me wrong, great for PvP in many situations but in PvE? Not at all. (I mean unless you're in a fleet and have logi but yeah...) |

I will not ever post any fits, since you are supposed to learn that on your own. Why do you think, I wrote a guide that was meant to be a vague as possible?
Your insults do not make you "clever" they are a strong sign of insecurity and fear, or yet another middle school day for you.
So far I managed to solo c3 sites in an Orthrus a Phantasm and a Gila, just as proof of concept. I have observed sleeper behavior patterns for long enough that I can tell you blindfolded what they will be doing next.
Cade was asking for a fit and when you need to ask for a fit for whatever reason, you should not fly that ship.

Lots of great replies folks. I'm eventually going to use a Rattle but for now I'm using the gila with good success, as far as all c2 anoms/sigs go I don't use a depot for refitting and am all good. Not tried c3 yet though.
I'm at work so can't remember by exact fit but it's something like Lows: 2 x DDA II, 1 x shield power relay Mids: 3 x rf shield extender, passive therm/em amp, target painter Highs: rapid lights and drone link II Rigs: 3x purger II
I put on the target painter to help with drone aggro and it seems to work well when leaving it on the 'trigger' sleeper, though tbh since my light missiles make short work of frigs, and the cruiser/bs sleepers don't seem interested in my drones, perhaps I'll remove the painter for another LSE or such and just kill all frigs before releasing drones. Also the gila drone hitpoint bonus helps a lot.
What drones do you guys use? Am using hammerheads but was think infiltrators may increase overall dps due to speed, as well as being able to make it back to my bay if under fire. |

Actually I'm also considering the scorp navy over the rattle as well. Incredible damage, great tank and none of that drone worry or depot refitting danger. I know a lot of people would disagree, just wondering the reasons for this? Is the real damage application far lower than the potential dps or what? Was thinking - cruise or rapid heavies, stay aligned to pos and MJD should keep me quite safe?
Not saying I'm not looking forward to getting into the pvp side of WHs, but going to focus on stabilising my wallet/income first.
Thanks again :)
Edit: Also as far as pvp goes, it seems like throwing some torps on my navy scorp would be a lovely ganker for when my cov ops stealth bomber is sitting 10k off a tengu or such next door. |

I use hammerheads on a Gila. Not really sure on the exact numbers DPS wise but Drone Flight time never seemed like a big deal to me but I may be missing out. You should report back after trying it out. Also the target painter is a bad choice imo. The sleepers don't really care for your drones and the frigates that DO aggro can be melted immediatly. Your rapid lights don't have trouble hitting sleeper frigates/cruisers so I don't think you're getting as much value out of it as you would additional tank, since that would allow you to keep your Drone Damage Amplifiers on longer.
safetypin wrote:Actually I'm also considering the scorp navy over the rattle as well. Incredible damage, great tank and none of that drone worry or depot refitting danger. I know a lot of people would disagree, just wondering the reasons for this? .
The damage application of cruise missiles on the scorp is much lower then the rattlesnake with drones mainly. Rattlesnake is way better for PvE against sleepers.

You're probably going to have some bad times if you try to PvP with torpedos. Their damage application is really bad. (Does have a good tank though. On a side note the Rattlesnake is pretty amazing for PvP. Some videos below from Mr Hyde. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Wkon2cNB58 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLv3LD3EdnY |

Great reply, thanks mate. I'll stick with hammers and lose the painter - as you say I've never had anything but frigs aggro my drones, and more tank is always nice :) I'll post after I get a chance to try it out.
Very good points about the scorp/rattle...as for killing frigs in a rattle, sentries at range?
Had worried about the damage app with torps but thought it might not go too bad if I had a painter or two and a heavy tackle alt...anyway that's a while down the line! |

The frigates in a class 3 wormhole are a little different than the ones in a class 1 and 2. The bigger payout for the anomalies has a reason. Last time I went into those I didn't have to move and let my Gila just sit there at zero. Don't ever do that in a class 3 and up.
