I am doing the mission: Path To Enlightenment - Destruction (2 of 3)
I have done a bunch of google searching and have found no help so I'll ask here and hope.
In this mission I use the gate right next to the agent at Planet 6 Moon 1 where I am suppose to kill the 2 serpentis followed by the Force Repeller Relic, only problem is due to a natural phenomena I can not use any modules including my guns.
I have tried this from max range, tried to circle around and go from different angles and nothing I do will allow me to shoot... so do any of you have any ideas how I can go about completing this mission? I would really prefer being able to do it without having them just give me the item via ticket since I plan on making cosmos kits and it will suck if I cant go about getting one of the items.
anyway here is the text from the mission as well:
Quote:Path To Enlightenment - Destruction (2 of 3)
The map you got me is only one piece in the puzzle of getting into the hidden relic site. You remember what I told you about that strange device that lies behind this gate beside me? It is of Yan Jung origin and I believe it can give us another vital puzzle piece. In order for me to construct a usable passkey to enter the relic site I need to understand better how the Yan Jung nation approached technology. The force repeller has a micro processor, which would give me just those insights. I am a hopeless fighter, so I don't stand a chance against the Serpentis ruffians in there. I need someone of your capabilities to get the micro processor for me.
So what you need to do is enter the Yan Jung ruins through the gate beside me. Take out the Serpentis scouts and proceed to tackle the force repeller. You can't get close to it while it's still active, so you need to shoot it from a distance. Once it blows up get the micro processor quickly before the regeneration nano-bots kick in and rebuild the repeller. Oh, and one more thing. The Serpentis periodically send expeditions to the ruins. I hope you don't run into them, but if you do make sure you have plenty of firepower on your side.
Path to Enlightenment - Destruction (2 of 3) Objectives The following objectives must be completed to finish the mission:
Bring Item Objective Acquire these goods: Drop-off Location0.5-áMathon's Helios in Deltole. Item1 x Yan Jung Micro Processor (1.0 m-¦)
any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :) |

I thinknit was, gms helped me in a support ticket.
Do the devs plan on ever giving the older missions a once over to fix the broken cosmos and whatnot? Would be real nice.
I plan on selling kits eventually for the various cosmos and s guide for them as well.... butwith bugged missions my kit will have to be incomplete since i doubt i can send a ticket and get 20 of the bugged items for kit making purposes lol |

It has been a long time since I ran this one last but faulty memory tells me you need to be more than 20k from it to shoot. If you have not tried ranges of more than 20k you could try that.
If you have tried ranges of more than 20k then I suggest you file a ticket and ask for the mission to be reset and see what happens. Missions will simply bug from time to time and there never seems to be any reason for it to happen.
Another thought is this section of the text. "Take out the Serpentis scouts and proceed to tackle the force repeller. " Many times this type of thing in the text are in fact clues to how to accomplish the required task. Then again it may simply be text written to make you think it is a clue so this brings the question have you tried tackle on it? |

Definitely a bug. Weapons should be able to fire in all Cosmos Sites. Almost every Cosmos mission is centered around combat.
In the future if you get stuck due to any issue and can't complete a Cosmos mission, submit a Support Ticket asap. The last thing you want to happen is to fail the mission. Some Agents give an item that's needed to access another Agent and without it you could be completely locked out of that Factions Cosmos.
Just remember Cosmos Agents are finicky and sometimes need to be nudged by CCP.
When I did Cosmos years ago, a few Agents just flat out refused to offer missions to me despite having more than enough standing for access. CCP basically had to order them to comply. One Agent just wouldn't give the first mission in it's 4 part series, no matter what the CCP Dev did. That Agent would only start the mission series with part 2. Also a couple of times the Cosmos sites themselves got bugged and CCP had to spawn the mission item for me.
Sometimes a simple relog will fix the problem, especially when an Agent won't recognize your standing. Also try clearing all cache files in Esc menu - reset settings tab. That usually helps clear out little annoying bugs, good to do right after a game patch release.

EDIT :
As for getting items to set up Cosmos packages to sell, some of the items just can't be farmed, meaning it's a special item that only spawns when you accept that mission. Since Cosmos missions can't be repeated, that's a one time deal.
Doing a Google search for info on Cosmos missions will help a lot. Also check out various Cosmos guides for info on what items to get and where to get them.
Good luck.

Ya, I know I cant do all the items, but I can do the unbugged items from complex's or asteroid belts, or wherever
Those items if you figure the time you spend all together probably cost half the time it takes you to do the missions, so I think people would pay to remove hours or days off the total time needed to grind the cosmos.
or so my theory goes anyway :) |

Yeah, there's definitely a market for it. It takes a lot of time to get the mission items and more than likely players with ISK will buy the items rather than spend the time looking for them.
When I ran Cosmos years ago, I actually farmed some Cosmos items for a while but I couldn't develop it into a regular business. My goal at the time was to complete all Empire Faction Cosmos Agents. That goal is almost complete, excluding the Null Sec and Pirate Cosmos Agents, I've only got 2 more Empire Cosmos Agents left to complete which I consider the end game for Empire Cosmos Agents :
Amarr Empire Minas Iksan (Central Control Tower) located at Fort Kumar in Kenobanala system.
Minmatar Republic Ison Tiadala (Warlord) located at The Alliance Barracks in Audesder system.

Ive done both on other chars and yes.... definitly a challenge.
I dont recall much about the amarr one as that was before i started keeping a spreadsheet and screenshots....in otherwords before i hatched the plan to sell cosmos stuff..
As for the minny one i did it in a heavily tanked tengu... also with an interceptor alt nearby.
Without looking back at my screenshots one or 2 missions are so rough the tengu wouldnt of lasted long even with nice mods and hg crystals....but if you send a cheaply fit int in and set it to orbit, it can speed tank all the stuff....then jump in the tengu to kill.
Just watch for a lucky hit on the int or changing aggro so you can jump out before you get pointed on the tengu.
What ill do next time is to set up a pos so you can flee to safety if local gets busy..... a few pirates lived out in the area when i did mine.
I did have a mobile depot stationed in the middle of nowhere however and the second i saw someone in local id jump to it, equip a cloak, pull the dept, then cloak up and hide.
Dunno if it was skill or luck but i did it 3 or 4 times and beat the scanners trying to find me, just dont equip it in the same spot twice.... but a pos as a safe spot would ofvbeen much better, which is what ill do next time.

yes, and once you anchor that POS at a moon it would be your safe spot |
