No Career, no Circle, no Datacenter, no COSMOS agents for Serpentis will probably mean that you have to go the hard way and start with Level 1 agents (always accessible, no matter how bad your faction standing is) and accept every storyline mission you'll get after 16 regular missions. Although they are boring Distribution missions might be preferable over Security missions for L1, L2 and maybe even L3 because you might be able to finish them faster and therefore get the storyline missions quicker.
I'm not sure if the Angel Epic Arc (or even Guristas Arc?) is an option and you would get positive derived standing towards Serpentis. Maybe somebody else can answer that.

Two options: 1: work with angel cartel agents to get derived standing. 2: work with serpentis agent.
I don't see other options, unfortunately :( |

Do you run the storyline mission that your Angel agent should offer you every 16 missions? Normal missions don't change faction standing, only storyline missions. If you complete them at the very least your Angel faction standing should increase, and imho the Serpentis faction standing as well, because Angels and Serpentis are close friends and have quite high standings towards each other. |

i cant ever recall getting a storyline mission when running angel missions, ill keep grinding away and hopefully ill get something soon, im currently -3.6 with serpentis so what does a story line give for a standing increase?

It depends on the storyline mission, they can have different difficulty and the standing boost varies with that. I couldn't really tell a reliable number. (Maybe between 0.5 and 1.5..., not sure) The mission can also just be a distribution mission. The standing increase with Serpentis will be lower than with Angels because you'll get only derived standing with Serpentis when you mission for Angels.
BTW: If you have high corp standing with a Serpentis corp (you said so above), running L4 missions for that corp would be the better choice to get your Serpentis faction standing up because their storyline missions will give direct standing increase which is always higher than only derived standing increase.
The agent who offers the storyline mission will be another one than your regular agent and can be in another station or even another solar system. Watch your journal, the storyline offer will popup there. Or look at the agent panel in station, I believe the storyline agent is listed as "agent of interest" when he offers a storyline mission.
Don't forget: Running storyline missions for a pirate faction will lower your standing with the empire factions, but you can't avoid that if you want higher pirate faction standing.

Have to have at least -2.0 faction standing before you can run anything higher than a lvl 1 mission. Once you get higher than -2 it's definitely a better option, but until then you're kind of stuck. |

From the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan' :
Quote:Pirate Standings Even though 'The Plan' is intended to repair Empire Faction standings, the same principals still apply for repairing standings with Pirate Factions. The following Social skills should be trained at least to level 4 starting with the Diplomacy skill. For maximum standing gains, train them all to level 5 as soon as possible. 1 Diplomacy 2 Social 3 Negotiation 4 Criminal Connections Hint: If planning to just boost current positive Pirate Faction standings, disregard training the Diplomacy skill and start with the Criminal Connections skill. After training the Social skills, complete the Level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs. Each Pirate Epic Arc (Angel and Guristas) has 3 different starting Agents (1 Pirate and 2 Empire Agents) to allow easy access. The Level 4 Amarr Epic Arc allows the player to switch sides half way through and complete it for Sansha. Pirate Epic Arc Starting AgentsAngel Epic ArcGuristas Epic ArcTo access the Level 3 Pirate Epic Arc starting Agent, the Corporation or Faction needs to be above +3.00 standing (+3.01 or higher). If using the Corporation standing for access, the Faction of the starting Agent must be above -2.00 standing (-1.99 or higher). Along with the Level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs, there are also Angel and Guristas Cosmos Agent missions available for Faction standing increase. Carebear COSMOS Extreme (Pirate Cosmos Guide)Please Note - Completing these missions will incur both positive and negative derived standings towards the other Factions. However, these missions will also allow access to high level Angel and Guristas Pirate Agents. Completing regular missions (16 + Storyline) for these Pirate Agents will quickly allow access to Allied Pirate Factions through derived standings. Please note: When working regular missions (16 + Storyline), always remember to decline all encounter missions against Pirate Factions. -Allied Pirate Factions- Angel and Serpentis Guristas, Sansha and Blood Raiders To have positive standings with all Pirate Factions, train up the Social skills listed and complete both Level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs. Then work both Angel and Guristas Level 1 Cosmos Agents at the same time, then work the Level 2 Agents, etc. Keep watch on the Pirate Faction standings and bounce to the other Pirate Faction when needed to maintain access. Repeat the Pirate Epic Arcs every 3 months to gain a large Faction standing increase.
To access the links, I've found it's better to right click and select 'Open In New Tab'. That allows the original page to remain open for viewing reference. Sometimes when viewing pages in 'Evelopedia via The Wayback Machine', the link may load CCP's 'Evelopedia Discontinued' notice. Just close the tab and hover the mouse over the link for a bit and then right click / load in new tab, that should bring up the correct page.
Good luck.

Lan Wang wrote:cheers for that DeMichael that will help me, wish i could run the arc but my angels faction is -1.35 so i guess ill hold out for a storyline, maybe switching to lvl 1 missions instead of lvl 4's would be faster? Well, there's 3 different starting agents for the Level 3 Angel Epic Arc :
Agent = Aton Hordner Agent Level = 3 Corporation = Republic Security Services Faction = Minmatar Republic Location = Egbinger system
Agent = Arajna Ashia Agent Level = 3 Corporation = Amarr Navy Faction = Amarr Empire Location = Sendaya system
Agent = Ellar Stin Agent Level = 3 Corporation = Dominations Faction = Angel Cartel Location = Konora system
So you have 3 different access agents, each giving 2 different options for access. Since you already have Angel Faction above -2.00 standing, all you need to access the Epic Arc is +3.00 standing with Dominations Corporation.
Or you can check standings with the Amarr and Minmatar Factions and their Corporations for access.
If any of those 3 Factions is +3.00 standing, then you can access the Level 3 Epic Arc. If not, see if one of those 3 Factions is above -2.00 standing, then check the Corporation and see if it's +3.00 standing. If so, you can access the Epic Arc.
To quickly build up Corporation standing, run level 3 Distribution missions. Will help a lot to have the various Social skills trained up too.
Good luck,
DMC
