Stopped reading here. Sorry matey but my falcon rocks and is VERY useful for all combat. Happens that 2x ***lente racial dont hit against myrmidon, but also happens that i jam 3+ battleships in one go. Usually its 2bs or 4 smaller ships jammed per cycle.

Perhaps yo ushouldnt have stopped reading. Perhaps you should have read the whole post before responding. You never know what is in the rest of the post now. Reading only a single phrase will get you into trouble every time.

I don't have a lot of faith in a company that has a long released game that still exhibits beta test errors.
I can't use sound because no matter what "instructions" I follow it hard reboots my system. - Any application that can possibly make a call that reboots a machine is written poorly. Simple as that.
The UI is a disgrace. It's written by someone without a good sense of 3d spacial awareness, or basic graphic artist instruction. It's utterly unconfigurable. This game has had how much time to address this?
I find world of warcraft boring, but at least they know how to develop a software package. They know that they need to follow basic principles of software ergonomics and quality control.

Dear Diary,
I am lost in a wilderness. It is a place that yields no quarter, and I must make every effort just to survive. The ignorant savages around me seem to neither speak nor understand my language. I am starved for understanding, for companionship. Repeatedly I reach out to them, only to be rebuffed. It is as though the natives are crazed animals, fearful of the touch of civilization.
I may take my own life.
Sincerely, Sarcasm.
i wrote something like that after playing runescape.

What is ironic in the post is that there are clearly some respondents who should just go to other games and find the greener grass but these people are probably heard more than the loyal fans that simply want the game issues fixed. I suppose the loudest screamer with the cash gets the goods. They are planning on putting in more carebear content rather than implementing these changes and that is a crying shame.

The answer to the first one is "outsourcing" (let the gamers do the ergonomics by UI-designs - WoW's standard interface is, shall we say, lacking) and the answer to the second one is "don't do anything that might break it".
Of course, they occasionally manage to break stuff that shouldn't be possible to break, and so, but... I wouldn't hold any company out to be some sort of beacon of light.
Oh, and your problem with the hard reboots rather sound like some deep down ****e in the code EVE calls upon - mustn't necessarily be EVE's code that's crap - might as well be your own system (windows, hardware, or even defunct directX). But what do I know? I have a feeling EVE calls on some more obscure system calls than your average program does. - EVE is sick. |

What the hell does outsourcing have to do with good UI design?

You mean like the op?
Practice what you preach.
BTW, it is pretty lame to try and use sarcasm to get what you want. Either that or you have seen the light and figured out that it was your fault for not figuring out how the bpo locking mechanism works before you locked over 200 bpos.....

Technically it is Satire, not Sarcasm. At any rate it is designed to get CCP to fix things. That is a complete world of difference from advocating other games.

It is not just the BPO locking, look at the breaking of the corp interface that has already happened. Not that long ago you could give someone build access without giving them the rights to take directly from the hanger ... Not anymore.
The rights and permissions of the corp hanger have changed, and also broken. Generalizations of some rights and titles do not work as they use to, or as most would think - learning the way it works is far from their published corp guide, which I do not believe has been updated since Exodus.
I agree, satire/sarcasm can be used to shed light, if there is one to see the light ... me'thinks not at this time, or not a priority. Why? Most probably there are others crying louder about this or that. I agree that threads like this may help to gain momentum and get more on-board that are tired of things not being fixed before they add new content. IMHO

Dont forget the EXCELLENT documentation on every aspect of gameplay.
Not to mention the great support and added content for any Industrialist endeavor, be it miner, researcher, or manufacturer. Yep, Its a great thing that Miners have such hard ships to kill, and such wonderfull options of actually mining in BS!
And the fact that things are SO much less expensive now compared to the past, why, I can even afford to lose a tier 2 Battlecruiser a whole once a month. Yep, and T2 is so cheap too.
Yes, I agree, the fact that Developers and GM's play at the HIGHEST end-game content, in huge game shaking alliances, and CARE enough to be in command positions and give out free items to said allainces...why it just gives me a warm fuzzy, I swear. Too bad they havent been doing that for years, I mean, just think of the possibilities!
