Hello everyone. I have talked about this on Tweetfleet Slack and Twitter regularly, but was recently prompted to post these documents I've been compiling on the official forums.
The main one here is the CSM Meeting Attendance sheet, which tracks each meeting we are asked to attend, and who attends them. In addition, weekly (sometimes fortnightly) reviews are linked, which sum up the events of the week within the CSM. These minutes are kept short, and do not cover anything that would violate the NDA, but cover a chunk of what actual discussion and communication goes on between CCP and the CSM.
Week 2 Summary
Week 3 Summary
Week 4 & 5 Summary
Week 6 & 7 Summary
I will post every new update here, and edit the main post to reflect it. I hope this will help people keep track of what your CSM is up to. |

Does Aryth have a good reason for not being at all but one of these meetings?

The primary difference is how active people are outside of these meetings. They're not all there is to it.

That's a bit of a non-answer to either of my questions, Steve :P.
I'm not asking for a stunning amount of detail, but Aryth hasn't attended any of the introductory meetings, when all the other US CSMs have attended at least 2 of them. All the other US CSMs have attended at least five meetings, and Aryth has attended...one. There is a section pertaining to the removal of CSM delegates in the White Paper:
White Paper wrote:If the delegate is inactive for more than one release cycle, the council can collectively initiate the process of removal due to inactivity.
Sugar and Jester talked a lot about the value of personal meetings, so I don't think that missing them is unimportant. I know someone in CSM10 had similar issues with attending meetings, but made up for it by working a lot with the internal CCP dev-tools. Is Aryth doing something similar?
It's wonderful that Jin'taan is doing a weekly summary, but it's hard to read what specific CSM members are doing as they're rarely named. I'd be very interested, Jin'taan, in reading the quarterly summary of what has/hasn't happened.
On a different topic, We've yet to see the "CSM's Vision" sectino of the White Paper:
White Paper wrote: CSMGÇÖs vision This section will be completed at the start of every CSM term and is determined by views of individual Council delegates.
Could we get that? Whilst I might disagree significantly with the philosphical section of the White Paper, it is apparently a guiding document, so It would be best that it were complete. |

Sure, will do that from now on.
For the record, these are typically written on a Friday after our weekly reviews with Logibro/Guard, then edited and posted on the Monday.
Glad people are finally seeing these things. Perhaps I should post the sheet to Reddit as it's own post? :P |

I must say that the attendence of CSM is quite pathetic, attendence is merely 55% on average where ONE CSM has attended all meeting and according to that summary hes in AU tz, well done id say to him. |

The Judge also had an (I believe) 3 week stretch where his internet died, and had to drive half an hour at 2am to a local McDonalds to attend meetings. He is a ******* trooper.
USTZ people have the problem of meetings falling flat bang in the middle of the work day, no matter what coast they're on, which makes attending incredibly difficult for them, as taking holiday every Friday afternoon AND attending summits is simply impossible, and also an unreasonable expectation to put on them. For EUTZ, it's less of an excuse, though I will note that - at the end of the day - this is a volunteer position, and we do have lives to get on with. I manage to make time almost every Friday, but at the end of the day I don't have a family to look after like most of my fellow council members. At the end of the day, if it is something you find objectionable and important, I would suggest you vote for people next CSM who are going to be able to attend all the meetings. |

For the entire months of June, July and August. 3 months. Near the end of August I had the epiphany that mobile data existed and started remoting in that way. Thankfully at the start of September I was able to get ADSL installed in all its 1 down 0.1 up glory. This was all down to unforeseen circumstances, which I'm glad for the most part has cleared up.
Personally I put a high value on the meetings, so I do everything I can to make meetings. Don't get me wrong, some weeks there isn't a lot to talk about and I could (or should) have stayed in bed. Weekly review meetings however are not the be all and end all of a CSM's ability to be effective though, so I wouldn't be so quick to write off CSM's that have jobs and/or children. I have one of those and it isn't ankle biters. It's not easy when meetings that need to fall within CCP's working hours also fall within your own. If I was in a different timezone I know I'd struggle to make meetings in the middle of the work day too.

Thanks for the effort in posting these. They do show that people are meeting and talking about general eve topics. (Which I never doubted) But beyond that they are so vague they are really worthless. For example, I read through about 6 of them and it was impossible to know even a single position any individual csm member is taking on any of these issues.
