Well considering they aren't answering any questions themselves.. this basicly translates into "don't bug me about it"

Yes, that response irks me. "Not my job. I'll tell you I will let others know, but really I couldn't care less and won't tell anybody because I know they won't care either, as they're busy doing other things like adding stuff to EVE instead of fixing the broken stuff first."

After residing in a drone region for about 2 months now, I have yet to come across a LADAR, RADAR, or Magnetometric signature. All I get are useless drone plexes with little chance of escalation, and gravimetric sites that don't even spawn rats (I don't mine).
This needs to be fixed. ----------------- http://www.eve-provenance.com |

So it's been 4 days, have you told them and they have decided not to respond on the forum? Do you know if it's on a to-do list or if we need to continue spamming bug reports?
The issue is so critical because the alliances that have moved into the new space need the asteroids fixed in time to make the isk to defend the space they are claiming... currently many of the alliances in the new regions don't have the resources that should come with the space because all miners are unable to do their thing.
What could happen is alliances that sat back to see what happens in the new regions wait another couple months, then attack and take some of the space. Soon after the roids get fixed and they have a great economy while the original pioneers had to defend their station(s) without any mining income.
Just imagine the outrage if when bob gets kicked out of their space, some of the corps from bob join into some alliance that makes a move for the new space and THEN it gets fixed. I can see a whole lot of "developers favor bob" rants.
Our miners are 3 months behind already in production not to mention the development in the alliance on things like mining teamwork (sorry if mining teamwork is dumb, I'm not a miner but I since I'm a soldier defending the space, I want the miners on my team getting rich).

Well I would be happy even if the problem appeared on the known issues list or was otherwise put on some sort of public list of things that need to be fixed, at least then we would know ccp recognizes the problem. Maybe the person in charge of the drone regions should stop flying bob fleets and get to work

The exploration in the drone regions is severely bugged. I have done well over 30 scans on tranq, and have done at least 10 scans on sisi this week. And it seems that the only explorations sites that are in the drone regions are Small Hidden Belts, and one Called 'Hierarchy' which contains small rats and several structures and there are no things that code breakers/analyzers can be used on. Out of all of the results I have only found small hidden belts about 20% of the time and the rest have been this 'hierarchy'.
I have sent in a plethora of bug reports on this ever sine i found my first 'hierarchy' back in December, and i have seen no improvement whatsoever since the initial release of revelations.
I have invested alot of skill training and isk so that i could do exploration. And I just hope ccp reads this and addresses the issue soon
I see this as divine justice for your inane support for logging out tactics when running into bubbles. Long may you suffer in your attempts to explore, and thanks to the Gods of EVE!

At one time I thought going to the New Regions might be fun and profitable. After reading the responses here sounds like all the fun and profit is in 0.0 or empire.

the sites i visited in the new regions were surely not bugged. done some Hierarchys and Radiances. They were a doable in my hac, but a bit boring alone.
One time, Hierarchy gave us an Escalation over 5-6 places in different systems (about 10jumps off), with manymany BS's and tons of respawns. We did in a Cerberus (tank), Raven and Dominix. Last Escalation gave us a site with dozens of BS. In the end, a Hierarchy Drone Hive Mother spawned (BS) and got popped with about 600 tech2-rig-components in the hold. Jita paid almost 2 bil for it, yay :)

Yep we've done lots of exploration in the new regions too, and we've never seen anything other than small belts and those hierarchy things. Which is fine, if they're intended to be there, but why is the variety of sites so terribly restricted in these regions? That doesn't make any sense.
Responding to the mechanics of the Hierarchy thing doesn't address the main problem. These regions are either bugged or designed very poorly regarding exploration.

Does this Hierarchy site have a bug that causes it not to despawn? If so, that's probably more the issue than what the site type spread happens to be in that area.
Here's what I mean: I finally took a week or so to check out exploration and have been pretty disapointed with what I've found in empire. Why? Because 9 out of 10 sites are these Desolate sites. And they're buggy as hell apparently and don't have anything except a couple rogue drones and they never despawn. Now since they never despawn, they accrue. So that's all you find.
Anyway, I don't think you can judge how the types of sites rate in your area if you have one of these never despawn types since it, by it's nature, becomes the majority over time.
Make sense?

stop telling me to F off CCP. Every momenty you let go by with no response is likeholding up your middle finger at all your customers. Get on the ball. Stop screwing around.

Still waiting for much needed answers here...
Do the Devs acknowledge the problems? Are they intending to fix them? Are they seen as important, or just stuff that can be done when there's time?

I've had Heirarchy despawn once. I killed all the npc's (at least 8 battleships plus a load of crusiers/frigs) then blew up the Heirarchy structure. Of course nothing happened, no escalation or anything, but after downtime the complex was gone.
But still, the belts are bugged, the complexes are worthless and there's no unique belt rats like commanders or convoys. Bit disappointing...

I don't live here but this sounds very unfair indeed.
Why does content take so long to appear in EVE? I remember Asherons Call fondly, new NPCs and quests every month.
I know EVE is a PVP game primarily (And PVP is what I do) but making PVE more variable can only be a good thing.
Oh, fix drone space :-)

Its incredibly unfair. And CCP dioesnt care enough about thier customers to respond.
I sent another petition about it and it was deleted with no response. Again. For the 8'th time ( yes I am keeping track )
This is BS. Please PLEASE get us an answer on these almost game breaking issues.
There are work arounds, but they are extreme. ( hauling trit up from empire 30 jumps? )
I mean COME ON. You dont see this as retarded?

I agree with keeping this topic bumped until we get an answer.
One comment posted here rings true: If CCP does not fix the new regions BEFORE Bob is defeated and tries to horn in on this space, then all of EVE will take it as a sign of CCP's favoritism. Whether that is fair or not - it will seem that way.
Other than that...since the Deadspace complexes don't de-spawn, I've started using them as uber-safe spots. They are places you cannot warp to, cannot cloak in, cannot cyno in, cannot MWD in, and which your enemy cannot easily find. Hey - That must be what they are for! Its not bugged - CCP intended to create the Caves of Bora-Bora so we can run resistance movements when Bob comes to take the regions!

Ever get the feeling that the new drone regions are a testbed for some of the more drastic changes CCP wants to make in the future?
IE: Slower ore respawn IE: Constellation wide rat respawn
Now about those exploration sites too...
An explanation about the Drone regions is needed. If you want to get us all the finger and say something stupid like "its a mystery" well its a pretty ****ty mystery not worth solving compared to the old regions. Hell it doesn't even have to be as good but just one the level.
We have no clue what is going on here.

IMO the best way I think to make the drone regions cometitive would be to beef up exploration more than it is elsewhere, archeology finding rare moduals unique to the drone regions, hackers getting drone made rigs, bigger belts that are more profitable than the on grid ones.
I don't think the drone regions should have everything the same as the established ones, you should have to find it for yourself, but the stuff you find should be equall to or better than the old regions for one very good reason, the drone regions ARE new, they are much less picked over, so there should logically be much more in exploration there and much less in established static features.
also the drone rats need sec status bonuses, I'm sorry but this crap where other people can go pirate in lowsec and then just rat BS's awhile, and I have to watch what I do is BS.

I don't want to sound mean, because if i were living there, i'd probably feel the same. But I have realized that not all 0.0 regions are equal. Doesn't seem like it wasn't totally intended to be the way it is to me.

Edited by: Gerog on 15/03/2007 21:42:42 Would you settle for sub-par roid belts that don't respawn as fast as some systems. Rats that don't have any faction loot or loot, but compounds that can be reprocessed and that is dependant on a skill on how much isk you make, when I can just go to region and blow up BS spawns up in another region and get my isk right away and have a chance for a faction loot to drop. Does that sound fair or balanced with any other region? No. It really blows and for all these alliances, that are in this new region, to agree upon these points that we bring up, means that there has got to be some problem which need either solutions or answers to our questions from the devs.
