Greetings.. I am a new Eve player (played a week or 2 when it first came out but that doesnt really count) and i have to say, i wish i would have been playing it all along...i forgot how beautiful it was to be flying around in space. Also, i want to say to anyone who is starting fresh and maybe getting frustrated..take the advice of the experienced players and basically do 5 things...1. read these forums, new player guide, etc...2. hang out in the Help channel, youll learn alot- beleive me, i know how intimidating it is to ask questions that you think are dumb but to my astonishment, they will answer them and save you alot of time...and 3. join a noob friendly corp asap (by the way, its extremely easy to find one there are tons of them, join the recruitment channel 4. do the tutorial AT LEAST 2 x's...1 if your really smart (not me) and 2 times if your semi smart (me),3 or more if your special needs person (dont worry, noone knows your doing the tutorial, itll be or secret) i promise you will pick up more than you did the first time...and 5. be patient! there is a lot to learn...its not WOW here where youll be grinding MC in 2 weeks, this is Eve! You downloaded the game because you wanted more depth and challenge in a game didnt you? dont forget that..relax and enjoy!
I also wanted to say that so far Eve has the most helpful community i have ever seen in a game...there are so many experienced players out there who will spend tons of time helping noobs its amazing, and i want to thank them for answering all my dumb questions.
Sincerely, Victor Payne

Welcome back. :-)
Yes - the the best advice is to join a good corp ASAP.
Too many go it alone for too long for no good reason. There's many friendly corps and it can make all the difference.
I never understood why many people hesitate to join a corp - it's not like they can't leave after all - so there is hardly a downside to it.

True, I've done the tutorial 3 times now and there's STILL stuff I'd just swear that wasn't in the tutorial before just because I missed it or couldn't understand it the first time heh.
And yes, the players I've met so far are all very helpful and willing to put in time and effort to help me out.

Did you know that if you run through the tutorial 5 or more times you get an automatic invite to join The Short Bus Squad?

Shortly after Revelations I created myself a market alt, 57 market orders, wooo. Anyway. For ****s and giggles I did the tutorial again and damn, all that stuff is explained? All I could remember from when I started out was the "one trit", opening the map and then they threw me out of the airlock with a banana in one hand and a shovel in the other... or something.
Seriously though, the tutorial is a lot of info and even then mostly only scratching the surface. Nothing wrong in doing it again or asking someone if you don't understand something. Most people will sacrifice a few minutes to help a young capsuleer.
