I've lost my motivation for the game.
EVE's too "jobby," either flying alone or with a corp.
Most activities are time intensive and low reward.
The game demands too much grind for everything now (think Scope Network).
Citadels show this to be a continuing trend.
Has EVE become too "jobby?"
Are you aware that you answered your own question in the statement? Question: Why must a game like Eve provide a reward for playing? Is it a prerequisite for a an activity to provide some form of reward other than pure enjoyment? Does Reward = Enjoyment? If your outlook towards a game, Eve Online, or life is "what do I get out of it"... then you just lost at Eve and RL. And that is truly sad

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never.
Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

I was asked to undock the other day. After consulting my union rep, I politely declined and took an extended tea break to play something else. I was told that if it happens again there will be an open ballot for strike action while we renegotiate the terms of my contract. |

The problem is that EVE has is too old. Way too many core mechanics haven't been touched since 2003. Graphics engine is getting old.
Also there are not enough SCIFI.
It's like our current life here in Earth transferred into some weird paper-rock-scissors submarine simulation game. |

If you are actively shooting rats and mining and checking bounties per tick or m3 of X ores per cycle, etc, then yes, you may feel that time+effort playing the game does not match with the reward. Highest value loot drop from PVE or PVP I had was probably just a few bils worth.
But if you consider things as 'project'/'operation', and think long term. There's great reward to be had without spending so many hours flying space ships. EVE is one of the few games that allows for this. To plan and invest in long term without having to log in for X hours per day.
Don't think too much about ISK per hour. Think in terms of months or even years. Think of doing something or putting something into action that you can reap rewards from in the next month, quarter, season, year, etc.
If you get it right, you will find that the reward is much greater than your time+effort put in.
