Hello. I played for a while on a different character sometime in 2007, and played 2-3 months at a time once every few years after that. I created this as my second character to be a Drake level 3 mission runner back in the glory days when Drakes could fit 7 launchers that would hit from 70 km.
Because of that drake loadout from back in the day, I have Heavy Missiles at level 4. Should I max that out at 5, or are Heavy Missiles significantly worse now than they were then? I realize that Drakes have been retooled a few times since then. When I started this account, I was only 15 and aimed to get into the biggest ship as fast as possible(beelined for Battleship) because back then, I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to pilot it very efficiently without the support skills.
I want to run level 3s(fairly easy with drake) and 4s(need battleship eventually?) for a while while training up core skills, and then eventually begin to PVP with smaller ships. I seem to be in an int/cha map right now, is
My eveboard is here . Thanks in advance to any helpful replies. |

ok, would you like some good news?
1: Your core engineering and navigation skills aren't too shabby at all. Shield skills are also rather sweet. 2: You're pretty much able to fly a standard rapid light missile fit anti-support Caracal; always a welcome addition in shield based fleets from small gang right through to bloc level engagements. Meta launchers are fine for the time being, but T2 is a nice, fairly short term goal.
If you want to go and shoot someone in the face rather than grind missions, then go shoot someone in the face. Have a look at Pandemic Hoard or KarmaFleet. These newbro friendly corps are sponsored by major power blocs Pandemic Legion and The Imperium respectively and they can help get you started with ISK making and PvP (often with a Ship Replacement Program to reimburse losses on alliance operations).
EVE is ultimately a social game. It's a lot more fun with friends. Thankfully, while most of your fellow denizens of New Eden may initially come across as a pack of raging sociopaths, we can actually rather friendly. Show a bit of grace under fire and you'll make plenty of friends.
