Hi all,
Was recently trolling around in a carrier, Thanatos to be exact, and doing stuff I shouldn't be doing on gates. Anyways, there are some neutrals I thought I might be able to blap as they're off gate (lol that's not happening). I launch fighters and begin to aggress them, getting gate guns and then having the gate guns switch immediately to my fighters. Fighters dropping like flies becuase a carrier's only form of dps should be easy to remove right? (but that's not my issue here at the moment). Anyways, the targets get away and I'm down close to 7 fighters. I pull drones back in, reload drones to make up for the droneocide that just happened and jump gate.
There are some war targets on the other side so I go to aggress them because eh, why not. They run away as war targets generally do, and I try to blap a sentintel (lol that's not happening either) who's neutral and start taking gate guns again. Rinse and repeat the droneoicde on my fighters (Concord should really be tried for war crimes again fighter pilots btw) so I recall them and decide to head back to station. A war target garmur follows me to station, but he lands at 100km. I land in my Thanny, taking no station guns because that's how the crime watch system has worked for years now. I launch drones and have them MWD towards the garmur and suddenly, more fighter genocide occurs. I recall my fighters, but the damage is done. My fighters are currently on strike after the mass genocide that just occurred.
TL:DR Go GCC on a gate with carrier. Fighters get popped as normal. Warp off to station to aggress a legal target and fighters immediately take station guns. Crime watch mechanics aren't applying correctly to fighter squadrons?

Working as intended. As per patch notes, all sentry guys will target fighters whos parent carrier has carrier out an illegal aggression in the last 5 minutes.
When I carrier trolled post patch, I would warp to a citadel and chill for 5 minutes between each use of fighters on neutrals. |

Thanks guys for the reply. I figured I missed something on the mechanics. Good to know I'll need to play it safe for a few minutes after aggressing.
