The logs show nothing
Title probably didn't need the '[Keepstar]'. Everyone is waiting for it.

mmm are you sure? i think that the lesson this time is:
"better pay PL so they don't drop titans and supers on us and our keepstar"

I learned that an ECM Burst 'Ceptor would have been a better wingman for an MG Virtue Buzzard Prober instead of a Falcon......

If CCP are yet again incapable of generating a killmail which is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Then why not go for a bit of EVE nostalgia and send the involved players an EVE mail like they used to. CCPlease sort it out |

So in the end, it appears the killmail was too big and didn't get generated. However, I've gone back through the logs and assembled the data in the following file. It's only got damage information, but in some ways it has slightly more data than you would get from a killmail (especially if you were using multiple ships or weapons).

CCP Logibro, while we can certainly appreciate the effort you put into this, it does not satisfy for the majority that a killmail was produced and then "claimed to be too large" for the average person to read over. I am sure that the websites that produces KMs would probably stand a much better chance in producing one, but at this point I don't see how, thank you for trying tho. |

Would a crest link not be possible from this so we can properly see who is who, ships etc? Zkill, player owned KB's etc would gladly compile the kill.
A for effort I guess. |

I remember hauling up an old badger through the P3EN gates up to venal in 2003 or 2004. I had ALL my crap stuff in there. Noob crap not really worth it isk wise when I look back at it but there was a LOT. That eve killmail got truncated. So if I can create a killmail myself that the system cant handle because its too "big" to generate what do you think is going to happen with your keepstar killmail?
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.

It'd be a very nice thing if CCP could do something for the folks who got a hit in on the Keepstar - maybe an in-game item or skin or similar. Even an evemail. |

Well no killmail pretty much ensures about half the people who showed up this time wont give a damn about the next one, but maybe that was the point......using tidi as a tool frowned upon?

A couple of years ago there was an event sponsored by several groups, with a Revenant put up as the main ship to whore on.
From memory the event ended up with the most people in system in the game up to that point (there was certainly some milestone passed, and I think that was it).
Same thing happened. The amount of data broke the killmail server and no killmail was generated.
However, it was more than made up for by the green on everyone's killboard. There was salt initially as it was only the 2nd Rev to die, but everyone moved past the tears quickly.
Same will happen here. Everyone will get over it.

Well, Logibro posted the raw table data. It might have been better to actually do the DB query to pull the names and ships instead of the raw data. Now it can't be posted as you can start black-hatting with some of that info... DOH!
CCP Logibro, love the effort, but may have shot us all in foot with the attempt! LOL! OUCH!

This was an unarmed one, an armed one would probably need even more ships. Given the effort involved in taking these things down you're probably going to want to look at a solution to that. The community wants its killmails. ;)

Look at how many Titans and Dreads were blapping at that thing and it still took several hours for it to go down, with no shields or armour. An armed, online Keepstar is, for the moment, essentially impregnable until or unless CCP fixes the Damage-Cap-Scales-In-TiDi thing (amongst other fixes that need to be made).
Currently, you only get one realistic opportunity to kill a Keepstar: as soon as it's done anchoring. Once it's operational, forget about it.

KMs are the bane of a truly great game and should be removed from Eve Online.
They are free intel, they promote shooting anything that moves simply to increase your stats, and they are partial the cause for some of the risk adverseness out there.
The game would be better off without KMs, though there could be some less generic stats that are generated for individual and Corp purposes.

Not sure that whoring to completely one-sided kill made by NCPL has much 'bragging rights' or worth for anything really.... One thing this kill does - it kills all reasons to even look at 'KB efficiency'.
