Sigh. You've been playing long enough to train for a Dread, yet you don't have any ideas of your own?
Some hints:
Highs: Standard for a Phoenix, 3x Citadels, 1 Siege Module.
Mids: Capital booster, Shield tank (c'mon, its just a big Raven, not that hard to figure out is it?)
Lows: Usual Shield tank/Missle boat lows. -----

First of all, the old if-you-don't-know-you-shouldn't-be-flying-one argument is getting a bit old. Dreads aren't that special anymore you know.
Secondly, don't pretend like you're not excited about getting a chance to tell the guy how to fit his ship

Well my post was more of a 'Why should anybody help you if your not even going to have a stab at it yourself?' but hey. -----

Edited by: Exlegion on 15/03/2007 15:10:46 Does asking how to fit a dread really that much of an off-the-wall question? C'mon folks, just because your skills training sheet states you can fly dreads doesn't mean that real information has just been downloaded into your head . Or when you trained to fly your battleship did you just instantly know how to fit it best? I sure as hell read, tested, AND asked questions.

Your missing the point.
Most people would post what they thought they should fit and ask for suggestions on how to make it better, or if it seemes ok. This poster has just asked for a setup without making any effort of his own to try and come up with somthing. You couldn't really be that stumped by the concept of a missle-launching shield-tanking dread... -----

Fair enough. Was referring more to the "ebay!" comments. But you do have a valid point.

Quickfit agrees. You'd need an extra 67.25 CPU to fit that (with skills included). -----

To be exact 104,75. I counted pds 20 cpu and cap recharger II 15 cpu. Capital shield booster should have more pg requirements and less cpu requirements.

Yep... quite frustrating. It's the reason I went for a Moros even though I wanted to fly a Phoenix real bad (I love its looks). --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

I just typed in a standard setup.
but that are the guidelines, use other stuff than TII to fit ofc

Cheap and effective phoenix fitting...well, cheap as much as a capital ship fitting is ever cheap in the first place:
3 citadel launchers 1 siege module
1 capital shield booster 2 35%+ faction boost amps 1 photon scattering field II 1 non-intertial ballistic deflection field (named kinetic hardener, for CPU reasons) 1 heat dissipation field II 1 invulnerability field II
5 beta cap power relays (best named for the best recharge)
3 capacitor control circuit or semiconductor memory cell rigs -Wrayeth "Look, pa! I just contributed absolutely nothing to this thread!"

Absolutely. The combination of two faction boost amps offsets the penalty, allowing it to boost about as much as it would with a single tech 1 boost amp and no CPRs. At the same time, this setup has a MUCH stronger cap resiliency than a PDU setup. IIRC, if you're running the semiconductor memory cell rigs, you have a base cap recharge time of 700-odd seconds and the next best thing to 90,000 cap to play with. -Wrayeth "Look, pa! The Phoenix is an absolute pig to fit in terms of CPU. As already mentioned, faction shield hardeners and boost amplifiers are going to be needed if you plan on fitting PDUs and a Damage Control in the lows. Dread Guristas stuff is usually the best way to go, unless you have insane amounts of isk to spend on Gist or Pith modules.
Alternatively, as another player has suggested, you can use Cap Power Relays. Yes, it does reduce the shield boost amount, but it will allow you to run it for much, much long, which is all important in POS sieges. In siege mode, you'll still be able to repair just under 3,000 DPS with 4 CPRs fitted.
