I'm having an issue with jumping between systems and docking/undocking from stations. I think it happened when a socket closed on me.
The time between systems has increased to about 35-45 seconds and when I arrive in the system the ship auto warps to 1,000,000 km from the gate that I just arrive from. The cloak timer is then stuck and never counts down or goes away, even when docked in a station.
Docking and undocking times are similar.
Has anyone encountered the issue before?

Strangely I had it last night.
I had just killed some rats on a gate when I got socket closed, when it let me back on I warped to 999,999km from the gate.

When the server detects you have disconnected, your ship attempts to enter warp, which takes you 1 million km in a random direction. Assuming you have no timers, your ship will then disappear from space a minute later.
That is for protection, as if you just sit still on the gate you are vulnerable especially in lowsec or nullsec.
When you log back in, your ship will then appear at a different location and emergency warp to the spot you were when you logged out.

The problem is three days later it is still happening. Time required to complete every jump from one system to the next followed by a 1,000,000 km jump is 65-68 seconds. Docking and undocking takes roughly 45 seconds. The cloak timer never counts down and doesn't go away, even when docked.
When I'm in a fleet the other players are starting their jump to the second system before I complete the first jump.
Unfortunately there's been no response from CCP on this issue. CCP use to be really good at answering support tickets, not sure what's going on now.
My speedtest.net ping is 15 and download is 180 mbps. It feels like the data for my account at CCP has become corrupted. Thanks everyone for answering, I will make a final post once I get a resolution. |

This is typically caused by the local client's time changing relative to the server.
I had this ages ago - and so did others - on an Alienware (Dell had just taken them over) lappie with SLI running in a window.
I could end up with as much as 2 minutes/hour local clock drift which resulted in the symptoms you have. I disabled SLI and it was fine. I also forced more frequent ntp (time) server updates with SLI on & it was mainly fine but not for PvP. Fullscreen was fine but I want my dotlan stats if I'm FC on a roam
I have to emphasise that this was several years ago with NVidia h/w that's obsolete but your symptoms are identical. |
