Quote: I have been living in a Citadel for a while. I like it. It's missing some things. Some suggestions::
- Let me search through my assets remotely in Citadels like I can stations.
- Let me search and browse assets in my containers remotely in Citadels
- Allow me to create contracts out of things in containers in Citadels
- Let me compress ore that is in item hangar or containers in Citadels. Also remotely.
- Let me reprocess ore or modules in item hangar or containers. Remotely.
- Give me sub-hangars for my ships in citadels so I can more easily find the ship I am looking for. Or allow me to classify a ship and have the ships appear in the hangar under headings.
- Allow me to share a hangar between two or more characters without having them be on the same account and without the entire corp being able to see them or access them. Ship hangar sharing would be nice also.
- Fix the thing where drones are not repaired when they are inside the ship, or if the ship itself has no damage to it.
- Fix the thing where tethered ships with damaged cargo do not have the modules in cargo repaired
- Use the model you used on the Scope Network Serpentis event to replace mission agents in NPC stations. Use this to group up current missions and allow more easily to skip missions. Use this model to provide mission agent running in nullsec player-held citadels
- Create an AOE damage effect from a dying citadel. Standing too close = death.
- When you press "dock" and warp to the citadel, pull the ship farther inside the ring closer to the structure. I realize this is cosmetic only, since ships tether immediately 100% of the time no matter the appearance of distance. However, it looks ridiculous for a ship to enter the station from so far away from it.
- Turn up the volume on the chimes and gentle world sounds around the citadel.
- Turn down the volume on the air conditioner noise that the tether was given two releases ago.
- Get rid of Outposts, and modify the Fozzie Sov display that shows TCU, IHUB, and Station to be TCU, IHUB, and Fortizar/Keepstar.
- Modify asset safety so that reliance on NPC stations is no longer required, then get rid of all NPC stations so that everyone lives in a player corporation owned citadel eventually.
- Let me 'repair' mods without having to fit them to my ship to tether-repair them.
- Let me repackage mods in the form of a CHA or PHA (POSes are going away soon)
- Let me refit off the outside of them (poses are going away... they should have the effect of a SMA)
Another requirement:
- Let me insure ships in citadels.

Sure thing, that guy will love living in Citadels when PL/NC or CFC or Russians show up on your doorstep. Some people should really inject the brain first before they write suggestions down.
A hint for that moron: There are players who go on hiatus (voluntarily or involuntarily) and you cannot store things in a citadel for months or years, nor can you influence what happens to your things when you cannot play. So, yeah, the first paragraph is not an insult, it's a representation of how badly informed and ignorant that guy is.

So, yeah, the first paragraph is not an insult, it's a representation of how badly informed and ignorant that guy is. If you want to live in player built, player owned structures, there are nearly 6,000 systems where you can build them and use them. It is not necessary for NPC stations to go away because they are a differentiating factor that drives naives like that guy into my fangs.
Basically. CCP could write off a fair number of resubs at that point. NPC is where you store stuff on breaks, even for SOV 0.0 types. Desire to resub would drop off if the stuff you left was blown up. And it be quick to check. Get that couple hour activation to plex it, see all your crap gone...and say screw it lol.
Recent return myself, all my toys in a nice safe npc one reason why. Have a nice start...play again.

As a guy who has killed a huge amount of these things I can tell you one thing.
Killling even an astrahus is absolute horror of a chore and is so unrewarding that I expect nobody will kill them after a few more months have passed, the only citadels that will keep getting killed is trade fortizard around hubs and even that will slow down.
At the very least make is so that unused citadels get killed in two timers, waiting 7 days for a 1b killmail and a minimum combined workload of 20 hours (10 pilots times 2 hours for all the timers) unless you want to be a baller and do it with 4 vindis and die in a ball of fire if the owner decides to defend.
Citadel usefulnes - nice. Reasons to shoot them - absolutely horrible.
Buff the loot drops a crapton too please, currently 20 hours of work on an astra gives you under 100m if it has only a scram fit, for the amount of work that is inexcusable.
Afraid of people exploiting it? 50% mineral drops on astrahuses are 100% fine because you still have to grind them down and with the amount of time it takes you would STILL be better off doing absolutely anything else, maybe even mining in ventures...

The same tedious grind has been present in EVE ever since the game was launched. First POS, then stations/TCU/Ihubs, now Citadels. The grind has not changed at all, neither in scope nor in the amount in tedium. Citadels won't be an exception from that and who believes differently has lost sight of what EVE is about.

So you cant get rid off of NPC null sec pirates." We will remove them then under the pretext that NPC stations are no longer needed. " NPC stations do not harm you. |

Go hunt them in wh no weak long siege and all loot drops (that is not destroyed ofc) giving artifical incentives is kinda lame imho there is no reason the game should make you want to kill any random citadel you should want to kill it because of an organic reason. Empire space filling up with this isn't really an issue and since there is no need for moons there is no harm in unmanned ones
