Covert Star Bases (Citadels) This is an Idea I have thought about before and I never though about posting about it before but recently I have seen a couple posts suggestion one be added. So IF and I do stress the if on that, If CCP were to add Covert Star Bases (Citadels) than there would need to be some kind of counter measure for that EVE if it is a passive mechanic of the game it self . What I was thinking is that Citadels already go through a Vulnerability window each day, so if Covert Citadels become a thing they should Force the Citadel to De-Cloak once a day and have a cool down of the Vulnerability Window time, during this time the citadel can be maned and ready for an attack if need be but as a trade off while the Citadel is cloaked it can not fire or use its own defenses at all, players may force a De-cloak but if they do they must sit through a 90 minute cool down period in which the signature is blown up to double what the base signature would be, after the cooldown it will return to normal signature size but the player must manually recloak the Covert Cyno. another good idea would be for this Covert Citadel only but it can access a Covert Cyno but this cyno must be lit on a Covert battleship class ship (Widow) and must be a large Covert Cyno module which you must have Covert 5 and all the Cyno skills to 5 as well as Battleship from whatever race to 5 to do this type of cyno the player would also need to have the covert structure skill (New) to 5. (The only class of ship that can be put through this cyno is the Covert Citadel all other ships must travel using alternate methods and Normal Citadels still can not be move by any means other than to take them down) If the Covert Cyno is lit BOTH players would take a Fatigue of 3-5 days with a 2x multiplier, this cyno may be use to move in system as well as 1 conjoining system over
Neocom Organization The Neocom is at the center of most EVE Pilots existence even if they don't realize it, it is part of everything we do every PVP Fight we take and every station trade we make, yet other than a slight refinement of what Icons look like or which ones you can see it hasn't really changed very much. What I am suggesting is to add Drawers (Optional) to allow Pilots to group icons into catagories based on what they would typically use or what would make it easier to each pilot. I for one wouldn't mind being able to refine my Neocom menus a bit better than a long list of icons =)
Player set clock in game This idea is not a new one I posted about it once before but no one else seemed to like it, however, I have had time to think about this idea and I think I have refined it so that now it would seem more viable. Make an optional clock that can be toggled on or off (default being off) from the settings of the game by pressing [Esc] this clock if toggled on WILL NOT negate or hide or drawl attention away from the in game clock for the server however it would be given a drop down clock if you hover over the in game clock, The time options available would be just like looking at the drop down in your windows computer system just click the drop down and scroll to the time zone where you live and apply. The reasoning for this additional clock is so that those who don't have 2 monitors or players who are unable to run the game in windows mode for whatever reason may have an easy to access clock right there in game with just a simple 5-10 second hover over the main server clock.
These are just ideas granted so please feel free to discuss. |

-1 to covert star bases. You even attempt to fix the broken nature of it by suggesting that forced de-cloaking every day.
-1 Neocom organization - not sure about this one, I have not tried to move them recently and I am away from a computer with EvE installed for a few days. Not because I am against the idea, because you can already rearrange the necom icons by simply dragging them to a new position thus allowing you to for lack of a better term group them.
-1 to player set game clock, not needed since there are dozens of other options and most players would have at least on of them. Cell phones that display your local time. A watch that displays your local time. A wall clock that displays you local time. A desk clock that displays your local time. There are clocks specifically made for the blind that speak the time you could set one of those on your desk and never have to look at a clock again.
No I am not against changes to the game or the client, I am however against changes to the game that are simply not needed because there are so many other options available to ALL of the games players. |

Hiding a citadel in order to less the chance of conflict generation kinda defeats the point...

There is so many broken mechanics in this game at least this structure has a chance to be taken down with the current things I have layed out for it. I think it would make it a lot more interesting. |

I took out the one about the citadel because I want to focus on these two spots, Yes there is an option to move the icons on the Neocom but it could be further organized by allowing the pilot the choice to have a drawer for the more commonly used items that they would like to have grouped together some people do not like having icons strewn across their Neocom.
As for the clock you might be right it maybe un-needed but then again that is why i said it should be an (Optional) Choice to have it turned on, personally I think that many people would not mind having an optional additional clock that does not override or interfere with the main clock and does not make the main clock seem less important on the contrary with how I have laid out the idea this clock should do nothing but benefit the game play. The options available to find out local time aside.
I appreciate your insight fly safe
