i read they will require charges to boost our fleets. skills change amount etc. like the thought of the new system, but what about this...
have positive charges that boost our ships and negative charges to "debuff" all other ships. anyone not in fleet would receive a debuff the same as the buff would have been.. system security rules apply. debuff outside jita and go from 5 to -10 (depending on how many are affected) and be destroyed.
this means we can take command destroyers into enemy fleets, debuff AND micro jump drive the logi's out. someone else can warp to a scout in the middle of the enemy with a command ship and pulse , then warp out (if they can), but give a massive debuff before departing. a debuff can be more potent than power creep.

there are some nice CAPITAL mods, but this would be for sub cap and it would have the exact opposite effect.

example could be a reverse skirmish burst to render enemy ships slower and less agile. reverse burst from a claymore could slow and drop the shields some making caldari sitting ducks. |

CCP in the blog stated this is being setup to limit once boost.
You can fire off most effect A 20 times...its only getting it that first time.
This would have this bouncing back and forth. We don't want ccp programming this math really. Tidi would be going apecrap really. Wait wait....was it 3 positive boosts to 2 negatives, or 3 negatives to 2 positive.
Plus wh's. Not like someone hasn't tried applying negative effects to their own people to break eve math functions. Fun things happen when the functions go off the planned route. Infinite range blaster moros' come to mind. What other fun math bugs left to discover I am sure this would find lol. |

you cant compare folks who cheated to a ccp design feature. one would over ride the other and nullify it applying the last boost applied.
webs and guns? what does that have to do with lowering folks resistances? lemme guess, you really didnt read it? its ok, you can go back and do it now. |

Most recent math bug I know from a year ago involves transports, again in wh's, with boosted resists blowing up if you looked at them funny. they reached mathematically above 100% resist and the calculations said make em die even faster than normal. What happens if we could go negative resists the first thing I wondered when I heard that lol.
Historically its been WH's that have found CCP's math bugs. No floor or ceiling limits in function variables, signed/unsigned integer bugs....wh effects find these oversights faster than "normal" play in k-space. And for whatever reason on changes we still get this. Its like they skip asking so what will this do in a wh effect at times. |

They don't like w-space anyways. Some data and relic sites are broken for ages, sleeper cruisers are broken since Apocrypha and w-space lifeforms don't like content and remove it and complain about the lack of content.
