CCP, I don't know why I keep letting you get my hopes up. I'd hoped that my playstyle (the straight-up fight, solo and small gang PvP) would become viable again when you announced that nanos would, in fact, be nerfed, but I now see that my hopes were in vain. It looks like my 3-billion ISK faction-fitted machariel will continue doing what it's been doing since Revelations was released: sitting in dock.
Thanks muchly, CCP.
And yes, that last line was sarcasm.
I'm wondering why they didn't do it more or change more. I think doing a % more than a specific number would have been better, that way it ensures frigates etc would always be faster than the slower ponderous battleships.
I suspect that since this really will disadvantage Amarr and Minmatar they are going to have to revisit it in the future. Idea: Treaties Idea: Jump Rigs |

Could you clarify the emergency warp feature in the patch?
Are you saying that all a defending force needs to do is create enough lag with numbers, drones, bubbles etc. to cause any invading force to lag out when jumping in. Last fleet battle I was in, I was sick of staring at a black screen for an hour and half and ctrl + q'd out. This seems a little unbalanced if it is what I think it is. The New Eden Galactic Map will never change again if so.
For small scale lag free or near lag free battles, I like the idea, but for large scale lag fests..........
Please elaborate on this new feature for us.

That's a good concern I hope they answer.
The game really needs a counter to the Warp Bubble, its needed it for a long time, but with this fix its going to become even more apparent. Either a counter probe, rig, module, etc. We'll need something for sure....

If so why the f*ck is that being done? There's is no reason for it. Give me a reason, someone :p
Mmmm someone said it was and someone said not. I'm confused now :)
Dual rep setups are not nerfed unless they used certian rigs, but then so would a single rep setup.
Basically, with rigs, came a rig that boost the amount of armor hit points you repair with each cycle.
Shields already had a module[shield boost amp] for this and you could add more than one, but it was stacking penalized.
The armor repair amount rigs are not currently stacking penalized. The patch will change it so that they are.
Two armor repair modules with no rigs now = two armor repair modules with no rigs on sisi.
i hope your right :D

so, hulks are inventable, what about Mackinaw's and Skiffs? Drones? Ammo? Transports (or was that changed already)?
seeding of t1 bpo's so some t2 is actually inventable (auto target 1 has been brought up already)
How about cloaks being split so you can actually invent proto cloak 2's and not gamble every time you manage to get a successful invention job?
Have you balanced out the datacore needs for all the modules now or just 75mm rails?
Decided on the future of t2 bpo's yet, or just gonna leave speculation open so that the datacore market still remains fubar since no-one is sure whether to now cash in datacores or not as they may win a bpo?
Seriously, you guys need to stop doing this stuff halfway and pick a direction and stick with it. Increasing datacore drops, decreasig RP cost and increasing amount you can buy will not improve their prices as much as actually deciding what is going on with t2 bpos so people can make a business decision rather than flip a coin and hope for the best.

Slightly confused. Some people are saying "Yay nano BS are dead!" and other are saying "Well it will still be the same..."
All I see is
Nanofiber Internal Structures give a mass reduction bonus only
Kinda means to me that nano BS are finished. If I am wrong please tell me why.

Can you explain why only 1 system in the new regions is having asteroid seeding issues addressed?? Aren't there enough BoB pets in other regions?

*Logging off inside a warp disrupt bubble (mobile warp disrupt or interdictor bubble) no longer triggers an emergency warp.
And what should I do to save my implants? Is it fair? Also I should now use a scout for even flying on a shuttle.. It's insane fix.

What about a new data dump? The december dump is almost as outdated as the RMR dump by now with all the stargate changes, item changes, agents moving around, npc changes etc. And far from all of those changes are described in the patch notes, so we can't make our own update. ----- CCP: Please make ship loot to drop in a can next to the wrecks. Edit: On the test server you can now salvage wrecks with loot. After a succesfull salvage the loot is left in a jetcan. |

Originally by: Patch Notes Armor Repair values are now stacking nerfed like Shield Boost values.
I suppose this only applies to the Auxiliary Nano Pump rigs, correct?
As someone who is personally affected by this change, it would be very welcome to get a short explanation as to why this was changed.
There is already a large disadvantage in active tanking due to the overpoweredness of nos in general, and these rigs were a great boost to it. Keep in mind that Shields have their passive tanks, something that Armor can never have - and that those passive tanks can be pushed to the extreme with shield recharge and capacity rigs... the Drake comes to mind.
An explanation would be very welcome!

However....camera reset on session change? Illegible fonts?
Eph.
I dont see it as much great, for example covertops would normaly survive with cloaking ability, but now if got disconets its his dead. It will not be bad if CCP fix disconection issue, but without it its just another tool to defend system with no cost to defenders. And about nanonerf... its not realy help fix nanoship problem, they will still fly insanely fast, it will just make harder to turn them, problem is its also afect interceptors. So for this one its not any close fixing nanoBS problem, just nerfing all ships from whitch interceptors and traders will be mostly afected.

Why not make refining a time consuming thing now that we are getting invention much easier and exiting.... Like a calculation on (Ore amount / refining time skill * ore proc spec skill * refinery facilities effeciency) = amount of time it takes ti refine such a huge load. And then possibly a skill for doing several refining jobs at a time, which leads me to say let refining be a facilit slot activity just like Reseacrh and manufactoring...

Edited by: Naruto Jr on 17/03/2007 16:24:07 Since your fixing so much about speed, and what modules only do, could you also please fix Microwarpdrives ? The description says: "capacitor bonus 25 %" which is ofcourse a downside. However the second downside which is not in the description that really anoyes me is "capacitor recharge rate bonus 1,25 %". It is anoying to get a 25% increase in cap recharge time on top of the 25% loss in capacitor. I hope you can fix this balance issue, and if it was intended at least add it to description.
In the math, you remove 25% cap, but you leave the cap recharge time the same.

This can lead to a lot of people fully cashing out their research points if the T2 lottery is done giving out bpos. This will drive invention costs down. Are all lottery BPOs going to be handed out prior to patch deployment?
That's the point :), to make invention cheaper and a viable alternative. I'm sure this is a step towards ending the lottery :)
They already said they were going to end the lottery, after a final round of bpo giveaways. Invention would be available to push prices down on overly profitable mods/ships. The announcement has not been made that all bpos have been given out and that the lottery is now finished. I still have possible discoveries listed at my agent. Because of that I can't cash out my research points and miss out on a possible bpo. With Invention being half ass implemented (extremely chance based, highly expensive, low me/pe copies, unknown future sustainability), possibly ripping out the bpos just shoves t2 production into an entirely too risky venture and rips out any trust the industrial/trade heart of this game has in CCP.
If you think T2 prices are high now, wait till you start seeing real shortages.

Why did not many people say anything about the new music?
I give Jon Hallur an titans worth of credits for his new works (did he make the 4th hidden number aswell?). They are truely awesome and deserve alot more attention then they are currently getting.
I can really appreciate new music and these where so awesome i probably did not make alot of friends down the street when i put the volume up . Nonetheless they are true pieces of art and fit the other music pretty well.
