I look at this and I laugh heartily. A goon? Concerned? My first podkill on my old capsuleer license was being killed by Goons while trying to ask why they were shooting me. I find it more likely you were simply trying to stir a pot. I'll be watching the pot with interest to see if it provides any entertainment.
War is murder. It always has been, always will be. Murder in the name of God. Freedom. Your country. Whatever it is, it is murder. I am already against the next set of wars.

Mm, no, I think with the wise post of the actual pilot involved in this incident, Arrendis has just ran out of cards to play in her engineered controversy. Not like it's the first or last time she's stirred the pot on the IGS over some trivial fedo crap only to be schooled on her ignorance of the situation/circumstance and faux concern, however.
Alas for the IGS vultures, I think this particular pantomine is all wrapped up. I'm sure however the OP got some kinda weird kick out of the attempt atleast.

You know, Utari, I expect that kind of reaction out of Kim. For all her claims, she knows far less about me than she thinks. But you? You've flown with me. You should know that things are never so easily dismissed as that.
Ms. Vellastraan, I sincerely appreciate your desire to not be used a symbol or rallying cry of some sort. This was not that. Had I been able to include a copy of the kill without your name, I would have. This was simply about holding people accountable, and demonstrating the predictably callous responses from your assailant and many of his allies, to whom every single person in the cluster is merely another kill credit waiting for an excuse.

Don't they say that new eggers that get killed within their first free weeks tend to stay in space much longer, instead of retiring their quick fortune? If you ignore the massive amount that retire regardless of circumstance, then yes. I suppose being compatible with the pod interface doesn't mean you can actually stomach being a capsuleer. Your first inspace pod death is usually the absolute worst, I know mine was. You wake up somewhere, disoriented, afraid, cold. Its traumatic. But it will happen guaranteed, probably happen some more. But if you stick around long enough you get used to it. It is, after all, in a capsuleers nature to die. As a result this entire topic is an overblown mess of engineered controversy made to further victimise Mimmatar pilots and demonise the Amarr. There is no need for this. Can't we all get along? Well I have died about 4,000 times 3,995 of those were as a mercenary and even my first death wasn't that traumatic and the same is true for many of my mercenary friends who became cappsuleers |

This "engineered controversy" could have been avoided if the pilot in question would have bothered to do even the most cursory check of the pilots credentials they were about to shoot - I do not know the exacts of the situation at the time of the incident, but I dare to assume the "PIE-lot" was not in any immediate danger, or if he was he should've had more pressing matters to attend to than probing out Reapers. There is only one person to blame here, and it is not pilot Arrendis or pilot Vellastraan.
And while Khadrea's Law might not extend outside planetary atmosphere, it does not mean that the planet should be recklessly endangered by creating large chunks of space junk on its orbit either. Pilot Arrendis was well within her rights to be dismayed on the act, and I will add that I do consider pilot Vellums actions in very poor taste. |

Seraphea Vellastraan wrote:I was the pilot in question, and I only became aware of this just a short time ago. This is not what I want, to be a symbol again, to be paraded about. This is what I wanted to get away from. I neither killed Lord Ardishapur, nor was I on Starkman Prime when it was destroyed. Maybe I share some connection with those events, but I don't really know. I was actually in prayer and meditation trying to come to grips with it all when my ship was destroyed. Which is why I wasn't paying attention to the space around me. I was aware of the risks of going into low security space. My instructors were quite clear on that. Please do not use me to further any agenda. I am sure Ms. Arrendis meant well. In the short time that I spent talking to her, I have found her to be a very nice person. However, I cannot endorse her original message. I ask everyone, please, not to have any outrage on my behalf. The ship I was flying was a Reaper. I am given to understand they are so inexpensive that I will be given an supply of them, nearly unlimited should I need them. There was no crew aboard the ship, thank God. As for me, the cloning was successful. I am obviously here to make this statement. It is quite possible that the Imperial pilot that saw me thought that I was threatening. If that is the case, I will make my apologies and do everything possible to avoid such a threatening behaviour in the future. To the Honorable Fabricator-General of the Imperial Navy, (Lord?) Admiral Ascentior, I offer my most sincere apologies that this happened. Ms. Arrendis's original message was not made upon my behalf. She and some other pilots were aware of the event because I was speaking to them over coms when it happened. I hope this has not created an incident.
If you were indeed there just to visit Arzad 2 and nothing more then I'm truly sorry, so please accept my deepest apologies.
The thing is nearby system was under siege and you were sitting in d-scan range from the only station for an extended amount of time, so it was assumed that you served as eyes for the hostile fleet and posed an intel threat. Checking your credentials would have changed nothing because they can be easily forged and intel channel didn't confirm you as a friendly when information was requested. This should in full answer the question you made that day. |

Ok, lets see if I got this stright: Aldrith is still scum, a rookie Amarrian pilot got blown up, rookie pilot did the religious thing and forgave them, Arrendis is manufacturing problems that don't exist, and all is still as it always has been in the cluster. Am I missing anything?

That's it in a nut shell. An Amarr killed an Amarr in a relatively understandable (to anyone who flies in combat) situation. |

I would've thought that PIE would be proud to have helped further the removal of the starkies from this life.
But while we're on the subject, I'm thinking of demanding weregild from Arrendis, I'm sure I caught something incurable from this thread. |

I accept your apology, sir. I understand how my behaviour could be seen as threatening and do not begrudge you for taking what action you felt necessary to protect your ship and people. If I go back to Starkman Prime again--and I likely will--I will make sure to let the appropriate parties know. If in the future anyone feels threatened by me, I will happily comply with requests to leave. |
