Here is a guide i wrote for me corp. Building 1.01
Needed to build
A blueprint This can either be a blueprint copy ( bpc ) or an blueprint original ( bpo ) An bpo lets you build the module/ship in infinite numbers, the bpc has a limit of runs available. To find out if a bp is a copy or original. Open the info tab on the print you have. Scroll all the way down and read the 'runs left' info. An bpo will have 'infinite', and bpc will have a number displayed. Once you used up the runs on a bpc the print will be nothing more than a piece of paper. Trash it to keep your hangars clean.
Materials The basic items and ships only need a number of minerals. Higher tech items will also be needing components and/or advanced materials. You can find the numbers needed on he blueprint info tab/materials.
Skills The only skill you need to start of production is Industry. Once you got that trained your good to go. However there are some skills that will make you more proficient at building. For basic ships/modules Production efficiency is the only one available. Later on for high tech building more come into play. Production efficiency will reduce the mineral numbers you need to complete a build. You can see this ingame by looking at the info tab of the bp again and now look at the materials tab. There you will see 2 scores one for 'you' and one for 'perfect'. The perfect number is gained when you have production efficiency at l5.
A factory As a beginning builder, you, the print and the materials all need to be located in a station that has a factory available. Additionaly, the print and the materials always need to be in the same hangar before starting the job. Advanced skills are available to extend your range rescpective to the blueprint/material location.
If you have all the above organised, you are ready to start the actual building.
Setting up the production run. There are several ways. The easies is to right click the bp you have, select manufacturing. You will get an new window with build options.
1. Pick an installation. Click this one and select the factory in the station you want to use. For beginning builders use the factory in your station. You will have several stations available in your list probably when first openening so check if you select the right one.
When you click the factory you want to use you will get an dropdown menu. This one has yellow and green texts. The yellow text show factory slots currently in use by someone. The time visible there shows when the factory slot will be available for a next job. If all slots are occupied, look for the one with the shortest time to opening up. Green text indicates a free slot. Now is the only entry there and you can use it roght away.
2. Select a factory slot Selecting it will make the slot intel turn grey. Then lower right on the tab click, 'use assembly line' Now you will get back to the first factory tab.
3.Select your source and target hangar.( input/output) Input is the hangar where the blueprint and all the materials needed are located ( make sure they all are there ) Output is the hangar where you want the final product to be delivered. the names will speak for themselves. Input and output hangar dont need to be the same.
4. Select the number of runs you want to make Self explamitory I think. One thing to keep in mind here is that ammo comes in batches. This means 1 run of an ammo job will produce a multiple number of units. This you can check on the bp info tab, first tab/ batch size. the number there will tell you how many units a single run will produce. ....

5, Accept the job setup when your done Press ok.
Next an quote window will appear. Here you will find all the intel on how many minerals are needed for the job you are setting up and some costs related to the job. Costs are factory rent manyly. Look around a bitt. You are basicaly done already, this is just a summary of what you are doinging.
6. Accept quote Lower rightagain click 'accept quote '
There you are, your project has been started ( unless ofcourse you get the popup that something is missing ) . This will be self explanitory when it occurs.
Now it time to sitt back and wait for the job to finish.
To check up on your jobs progres you can sellect the 'science and industry ' buttons, either in the station interface on the right, or ( specialy usefull in space) on you left side interface, 6th button from the top.
You will get a new window opened. Select 'me' if building from your privat hangar or 'my corp' if building from the corp hangars. Then on the left side, 'get job' A list will be loaded of all the jobs currently running. Yellow texts are jobs in progres and they hold information on when you started the job and when it will finish. Red text (pending) shows the jobs that have not yet begun, either because you used an already occupied factory to add your job ( que ) or you where to fast after setting up the job with opening this window. The factory manager will in the later case still be buisy setting up your job. Check at a later time to get the timeline information.
Sofar the basics of building. As for prices, they fluctuate alot depending on the current hypes and such. So these youll have to figure out yourself by studying the markets.
Enjoy
