Im sure you all get sick of these threads but im really confused on which class/ship might suit me best.. I have read the forums and a couple of guides but still.. I feel a bit uneasy about picking one
The basics are that I like a mix of PvP/PvE play and I dont enjoy mining in the slightest
So I guess im looking for a class/ship that I could possibly solo people with and hopefully still get a little bit of pve'ing done in
The types I was considering most of all were basically; Covert Ops, Interceptors & Battleships.. Though being totally confused im pretty versatile on that
At the moment im flying a Caldari Caracal and doing Level 2 missions.. Although im fairly tired of it and want to branch out from merely doing dullard quests.. Im not in any corps
Sorry for being so vague.. Im still a newbie (2million SP)

i would go for a BattleCruiser, the gallente would be a good choice i guess. Start out in a Brutix, then head for a myrm later on.
enjoy

Caldari for a newerplayer is the easy button with missiles. Gallente will focus mostly on drones and hybrid turrents (rails and blasters) which will be much more skill intensive than missiles.
If your liking the Caldari ships, go for a Drake or Ferox, and tank those suckers.
You'll probably enjoy them.
(and I fly Amarr so this is a non-biased statement)

Since you are failry new, and don't have the skills and ISK to fly fancy ships i would advise you to split pvp and pve.
Pve usually is easier because you know what to fit for before the engagement.
So i would suggest you use BS or BC for pve, and frigs for pvp. This will allow you to make money quick to cover your losses in pvp.
When you get better and richer you can climb the ship ladder and move up to cruiser for PvP or even T2 ships, but as you will loose alot of ships pvping, you need to keep a way to make your isk back.

Well not to be rude but your a little new to consider a bs with only 2 mill sp. The same can be said for covert opps.An inty would be the best of the three you listed, but i would stick to a cheap frig or cruiser until your skills and expierience improve. Frigs can pvp quite well when equiped right and are great helps in gangs. Cruiesers and do everything up through lv 3 missions if equiped well and proper skills are trained.

What? Really? I would suggest going for an interseptor, a Crow is great for any solo pvp or pve, and they are cheap at just 10 mil.
Crow + Rockets man it's the only way to go.

Here is what you do: train up for a myrmidon, get drone interfacing to 3, heavy drones to 3, gallente bc to 3, and focus on cap skills after that and navigation. Then when this is done you find yourself a nice 0.0 corp that has secure 0.0 space and is not overrun with hostiles. You then fit out your myrmidon to rat and just rat for a few days and you should have around 300 mill isk or so. After you have sufficient cap skills and nav skills including high speed manuvering 3 start doing frig pvp. Then start to focus on getting propulsion jamming to 3 engineering to 5 and electronics to 4. Decide whether you want to go AF or interceptor after you trained the skills for either start to focus the next months on gunnery and getting t2 small guns and push to get all gunnery skills to 4 and weapon upgrades to 5. Then start advanced weapon upgrades training.
This is the path to take for gallente and this is how you can survive in 0.0 space and never have to worry about making isk again. Also only do this after you got your learning skills out of the way.

with your actual skill points ill stay in the cruiser class ships, battle cruiser are cool but you ll be a juicy prey when you go in low sec npcing if you feel that pvp is something you like to do time to time , just jump on a thorax for pve missions caldari also with average skills is the best choice have fun

Another option is an assault frig. Very good little ships that can do lv 3 missions and do pvp. If you are caldari the assault frigs you would use would be the harpy or hawk. Hawk is a missle boat but can be fit like a merlin. Harpy is a rail boat.

i would say, dont rush things. get a ship and learn to use it. i my self aim for smaller ships, and can fly Tech II fitted crow and hawk/harpy. and will train more for those, for pvp, for pve and missions i use a ferox or drake, depending on money. i can use a Raven, but with low cruise missile skills, and only use it for gate camps and such, where a big boat is good :). i would prefer my crow or assault ships.
but if you are going for assault frig i would almost say you should go for gallentes. their little drone ship works nice from what i know. havnt tried my self. for inty i believe Crow is the best.
but desides, dont train for two races :). atleast not in the beginning. as deferend races use deferend setups. like shield or armor tank.
