We at Nut Jobs INC recently purchased our first Astrahus, and we are all the happier about it. We wanted to establish a cheap refinery so that our nice friends could join in our bounty and make more ISK with us. We wanted to make it so that the public population, those that we do not know, would pay the most with us as it's owners paying nothing, and our great friends paying little.
However we are having issues getting our access lists straightened out for good use. Most importantly, how do we block players corporations or even alliances, from using our facilities.
We want to keep it opened to the general public but would like to lock out people, corps, or alliances that do us or our corporation harm. We have the system set up for who gets discounted services from our wonderful refinery, but we can't get the blocking in check. Our measly 3 members are all scratching our heads or worse slamming them into the keyboards. We have had a volunteer assist with experiments for us while we attempted to keep him from docking to ensure the system worked, however we received no results and had to pay him regardless.
So if you are willing to assist us with this we actually need a step by step means with which to block people from accessing our services on our citadel. We hate too many people for this not to be a thing. We love even more people and want our good friends and allies to get discounts on what we set up. |

Congrats, I too was looking at them as well but decided it was too much trouble for me, hope you get it figured out, but by chance do you know if they are phasing out POS because I wasn't sure I should invest in that. |

I don't know much about smaller stations, they are cheaper but I have always found them to be too complex to care too much about them. The way that some of the devs are talking though it seems like this may be the new road and they may get phased out, but don't rely on my intel for that. |

Yeah, thanks, I was hoping to put up one for a drug lab but that is going up in smoke. |

The Citadels to my knowledge wont be able to do drug manufacturing or at least any time soon. If thats what your after and not the things that the NPC stations can do, you still may have to look into that for some time to come.

Docking rights.
Disallow docking under 0 standings. So set the docking limit to -0.1. That way anyone whos is still 0, or no standings assigned, should have docking rights still but anyone set orange or red standings with corp will be disallowed. Itll allow all until you say GETTHEFUGOUT!! with standings.
Should be in the station management screen iirc and should use the same mechanic as null outposts have still.
I hate station and corp management interfaces and have for over a decade now!!
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.
Had to end sometime.

Well now, that's only making this worse. I can't find anything like that anywhere in our settings. |

Why this took so long is BEYOND ME. We did finally discover how to set this up.
Access Lists:
Make any number of lists as you please. Ensure that only ONE of those lists contains "Public Access" If you want to ban anyone you add them to the list that contains the "Public Access" option.
If you want multiple lists with "Public Access" , the same individual must be added to ALL of those lists otherwise the public option will allow them back in.
You must carefully add these access lists to the Structure Browsers, Profile Settings window and ensure that if you want public access that you have a Public Access profile in your Access Lists. If you want to ban players from your open citadel you have to add the blocked players, corporation, or alliance to which ever Access List has the public option enabled.
Now public can pay premium for our cheapest refinery in the region and our friends can pay next to nothing and we can block the damn loot thieves from hiding in our Citadel.
Why the hell can't we have a simple "You can't dock here" tab in the structure browser? God forbid you block that one a**hat in your corporation from one citadel..... |

Hmmm. So they changed it to a list rather than standings. Weird but okay.
Good to see you sorted it out though.
