I will start this post by saying that this post does not containt any anger or hate towards CCP Games or EVE Online, but just a lot of personnal frustration toward a situation that doesn't seem to progress.
Hello pilots of EVE Online, my main account is Mangsteen Giuni and I have been banned for the very vague reason of ''Selling isks''.
I am not a unique case, A LOT of other pilots has been banned by CCP Games ,without any warnings and for weird and vague reasons.
I have been asking questions to CCP Games through my banned account, opening 3 different tickets in order to have an answer, but nobody helped me or even took 5 seconds to answer me. No explanation, no warnings, no support for my tickets, I consider my main account as definitly lost.
NONE THE LESS, I have been doing some tests in order to understand why CCP Games would not answer my help requests, and I got some answers: Being banned, your support tickets will not go through a normal process. They will be put aside in a very slow to resolve queue in which customer support will only give a very low attention to.
I know this because I have been contacting support through my alts in order to get some help, disguising the main topic with titles like ''Iwould like to pay a subscription on this account'' and got answered within the hour. But once I started talking about the real problem, most of my tickets were closed with a simple message:
''Thank you for providing this information.
This is not something within my reach, but I will be moving your ticket to the proper queue where your case will be in the care of specialized agents.
I appreciate your continued patience and cooperation, as this move will extend your waiting time.
Best Regards,''
And I find this pretty bothering: as a player of eve online for a long time and havind paid subscription time, PLEXES and other packs in order to fully profit of the advantages that the game offers, being put aside and not being treated as a normal customer is pretty disapoiting and frustrating. I am like any other pilot a customer and a great fan of EVE Online and CCP Games, I am a player, I grind some isks and get podded like any clone in the game.
I have been waiting for 5 days now, and is still waiting for a kind soul of CCP Games to help people like me to get out of these situations.
This is my alt, and I have paid a month subscription in order to start back from scratch. I hope this account will not get banned after posting this, or even getting my post closed in order for CCP Games to put the problem away.
Does anyone have the same problem? is anyone in my case please share the story or just the name of your pilot. Fly safe! |

Your avatar looks so sullen - I know a Ban Victims Anonymous member when I see one. "Hello, my name is Mangsteen Giuni, and I have been banned from EVE Online".
On a serious note, it sucks when such things happen - some players say they've been waiting for a response for weeks or even months - but the forums can't help ypu on this one. The issue of bans is discussed strictly between you and CCP. |

Months to get back my account =/
I heard about a 7 day ban possibility but seems impossible to find a case who just got 7 days instead of perma ban.

The question you might ask yourself: which activity of mine might get viewed as RMT by CCP? We can't help you but you should take a look at your account logs and look for big ISK transfers. Maybe your account got hacked or you did something that looks like RMT.
In the end: nobody can help you and creating such threads will Definitely not help you! |

Well you now, I have been buying some skill injectors online, didn't think it would have a lot of impact until I got banned. I'm not denying the choice done by CCP Games what i am just trying to understand is why i didn't have any warning, why a perma ban was applied so fast, and if anybody could actually get a talk with some support in order to get some situations sorted out.

Discussing bans and petitions will get you nowhere. Ive been in this game a long time and frankly there is way more likelihood you did wrong than you are even "vaguely" innocent. Like 99:1 likelihood.
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.

Buying something in EVe online for real Money is RMT. Sorry, there is no warning or anything. RMT gets a permaban on first deed. Better take a look at your other chars, that one is lost. If you are an old player you should have known better!
Let this be a warning to everybody else. RMT is one of the very few ways to permadeath in EVE |

I know i did wrong, I just didn't think it would be SOOOOOO violent. God damn it feels like CCP Games hit me with a Brutix.
Well none the less, it would be so good to have just a message from a support officer, just something like
''Hey man,
Sorry we had to apply a perma death to your pilot, we saw you spent 200 euros with your main account and would gladly offer you a free month subscription in order for you to keep playing with us. We understand you feel frustrated, but from the X paragraph of the EULA it is clearly stated that RMT is perma death.
None the less we understand you are more a player than someone really selling isks online, and we like players. Enjoy your game and fly safe,
GM X''.
God that would feel good... and marketing speaking it would be PERFECT, no cost from CCP Games and players would understand their mistake and keep playing EVE. |

You bought items ingame for real money which creates a business for criminals to hack accounts and moneytarise them. So what you did was an invitation for criminals to hack into Eve-> that's why you are banned and rightly so. If the injectors have been cheaper then Plexing them, the reason might be that they didn't belong to the guy who sold them.
I don't want my account hacked for money so I'm totally with CCP here! risk vs reward and you lost, rightly so!

I understand that, and totally support the POV you are having.
Now just take mine for a second, i'm a bit poor and trying to have fun in a game where SP is a great limit as well as a reward/milestone factor. Paying 20Gé¼ for a plex is ppretty expensive and I therefore try to search for something less expensive. I DO NOT know what I am implicated in, and have no idea that buying a plex thrugh a third party website can have so much impact on other players.
What would be the consequences for CCP Games to send me a mail saying:
''Hello, we saw you buying products X, Y and Z through an illegal third party website,
As a warning we have banned your account for 7 days, and you will be able to connect back to it on the date of XX.XX.XXXX. Next time, CCP Games will aply a full perma ban on your account, as a warning has already been applied.
We hope you understand that this ban is REQUIRED from us, and that a perma ban could have been directly applied.
Thank you for your understading, Fly Safe!
CCP Games''
answer:NONE, CCP applied a disuasive ban which most players will not play with, and still encourage player to continue playing EVE Online.

What's to take, rmt is explicitly one of only a handful of things that unquestionably gets the bannhammer. You're lucky to still have the accounts you have now.
If I were you I wouldn't be giving them reasons to take interest in those by ****ing up the ticket system and posting about it on the forums.

INB4LOCK!
Bottom line: The ONLY people you should ever send real world ca$h to for anything EVE related is CCP. You tried to skirt the system CCP has in place to exchange $$$ for ISK (PLEX), you got caught, you pay the price.
The entire purpose of PLEX is to kill off the RMT industry. Every dollar spent on RMT is a dollar that doesn't go to CCP to be used for things like, hiring developers, fixing bugs, all those kinds of things.
You broke what is almost the only rule in New Eden. Learn from that mistake.
End. Of. Story.

You stole from CCP by bypassing the normal route to convert RL cash into in-game items, you'll get no sympathy here; if it was up to me your alt accounts would be banned too.
Discussion of bans and RMT is forbidden on the forums, ISD will be along shortly to lock this thread and collect your tears.
Civilised behaviour is knowing that violence is barbaric, but paying other people to do it is business.

Well... There is one thing i could agree with OP: execution is bad method of prevention. That's why it is stopping to be used world scale.
Full banning without any word only leads to rumors of one more wrongly banned account. It would be better to have open discussion about such cases. Additionally that would make work of security team more visible. Remember 'i have reported him as bot many times and he is still there botting'?
"First warning" could really help to those few who just screwed over themselfs. And we could have more players.
But yeah, it's their game. And they can have their rules.
