I took a long break from EVE. Actually I flat out quit. Now I'm back, and everything seems new and fresh again. Loving this game. I wonder how long it'll last?
It's actually turning back into a flat out addiction. I find myself Googling EVE related stuff while at work, and imagining what I'll do when I get home. I'm at work right now typing this forum post as a matter of fact. |

Welcome back, brah! Always been fun coming back after a break to see what's new. Sometimes it can be a heartbreak, but most of the time it's been pretty cool for me as well. Anyways, hope you have fun again and fly safe.

I've been there, too...
I hope for you that you don't end like I did. I've been playing the game for a month or two and then it turned more and more into a glorified chatroom with spaceships. That was about 2 years ago..These days, I hardly undock, mostly talk about the good ol' days (2003 vet) and spam channels with memes of questionable origin.
Ah well, enjoy it while it lasts.
When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

My signature seems applicable here.
Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you.

Welcome back! I'm glad you're finding everything fun an exciting again. Keep that attitude as long as you can!
I'm curious, though. What made you decide to jump back in?

Jack Twist: "I wish I knew how to quit you."
I find I get really immersed when I'm closing in on an EVE goal, like hitting a certain amount of ISK for a large purchase or flying my first Capital Ship type.
Afterwards I lose a little interest, but with so many choices I find myself picking up a new activity and following it to "end game"
There's still lots to try and do. Getting bored? Try something completely different.
kindles the interest pretty quickly.

To be honest, I got tired of playing Arma 3 and Elite: Dangerous. I still play them from time to time, but they just weren't itching the scratch. It feels good to be back in EVE for now. I'm working on raising standings with some courier contracts, and also trying to get into incursion fleets.
I've also found myself hooked on Project Discovery. There's lots of interesting stuff to do. Before I quit, there weren't skill injectors. Those are a blessing, because I have been able to finally quickly skill into doing the thing I want to do. My time is important to me, and I'm glad I can spend it doing the things I want to do. ;) |
