I spend a lot of time salvaging. Part of this involves deploying an MTU or three.
Sifting through the cargo hold to separate my MTUs from the loot and salvage before dumping everything in my huge cargo containers back in the station is a tedious manual process just begging for mistakes to be made.
It would be really handy if the Noctis could have a 200-300m3 bay specifically for deployable (i.e.: MTU, mobile depot), which deployable would be routed to when retrieved :D
Sure, it's only a tiny quality of life fix, but it would make my life that much less tedious!

The Noctics needs a rework - and probably a module only it can fit. Like the AOE tractor I suggested a year or so a go.
Or something that lets the salvage lasers auto pick a wreck.
I know this doesn't go with your idea. MTU where introduce to make it easier in players/mission runners in the fact they could deploy them with their combat ship then return with another ship to pick them up and the loot/salvage. It is what it is. To me it is an old system that works, but could really use some new mechanics to breath new life into it.

Well, having an auto-loot module might be okay, as long as I don't have to give up tank :D

For the record - just to be sure - you know you can define filters ?
Such as: Group / is not / Deployable / Mobile Tractor Unit

You know, I know about filters, but it never occurred to me to use them.
I'll give it a go after daily screw-the-Australians down time and report back :D
PS: yes, I'm aware it's only four minutes of downtime these days. Doesn't mean we should stop encouraging CCP to further pursue their "death to downtime" goal from five years ago!

Nice. Now have two filters: "Deployables" and "Not deployables". Pretty much does what I need it to do, without requiring a modification to the Noctis from the CCP side of things.

Nice. Got to love filters.
