This is a fun thread.
Personally I'd like to thank CoW for pushing the envelope so to speak. CA was planning "a move" but I doubt it would have been done without the extra preasure. (read: "They keep blowing up my ratter/miner and camping the gate/station!!!" nber carebear whine...)
Reading the Ship Loss Reports of CA (ie Killboards) it is clear that they have almost stopped their camps and raids.
Many promises were made in the beginning... few were realized.
Cheers CoW and all the best. With or without nano-ships, I know you can fight. ** Sticks and stones will break my bones but whips and chains excite me! ** |

Edited by: Lem2J on 26/03/2007 15:38:52 I seem to remember a fight outside the E02 station.. We were out numbered.. but we engaged.. Fight ended, we won.. Now a CA pilot in local.. started smacking about how our fleet was all nano'd up, and that was the only reason we won.. bla bla bla... simple fact was... we had 3 nano bships, that tackles the few ships they had at 100km+.. Sounds like tactics to me, over war meat shields....
Oh CA.. when was the last time you actually had a decent battle in or around GW and won? :) Why are corps that leaving, becoming hostile to CA?.. hmm... :p

Excellent set of questions my friend. I will do my best to answer them.
Originally by: Lem2J Oh CA.. when was the last time you actually had a decent battle in or around GW and won? :)
This is a great question but somewhat incomplete. I spent a week back in GW and really only found the occasional neutral to kill and the occasional CoW docked in station.
So I read this thread and decided to come back to congradulate you on your success and see things for myself. We didn't find much. So I guess the real question we should ask isn't, "When was the last time we won a decent battle in or around GW," but rather, "When was the last time we had a decent battle in or around GW?"
I honestly don't know. I think we had a decent battle that we lost last week. I know before we moved out to our new areas we had so many great battles that we won, it would be annoying to post about all of them.
Now to your second question.
Originally by: Lem2J

To be honest, some people believe your propaganda, some don't listen to the CA leadership and feel isolated, and sometimes good people just make bad decisions. They read your posts about how all of CA are weak, then maybe they do something dumb and get their ratting ship blown up, then they post their frustration on the CA boards and start believing your propaganda... Yeah that works on some people.
I still find it amazing how stark the differences are between what is posted on these boards and the reality of the situation in game. An example was during the IMP/-V- war when Imp had 99% control of e02 and GW you would get the exact opposite impression if you read these boards.
Imperium and then later the reformed CA has never put too much stock in the propaganda war. So while you can fill the forum about your 'conquests' it won't really change anything in game. It'll be one of those myths sort of like the one about goonswarm all being in tech 1 frigates.
This will be my last and only response in this thread so take care and see you in game.

Im sure they have a better view from their own alliance chat.
CA is barely a consideration any more, thats why we go to curse looking for fights with TCF.

I looked at the Curse Alliance killboard and ignored the involvements that you have had, while in -V- and that made it mysteriously into the CA boards anyway (like about 1/3 of the dragonian freelancer involvements starting summer 2006). I counted 19 involvements in almost 2 months of your CA time personally for you. So I don't think you have been fighting bigger fish tbh and are the wrong person to ask about how we pvp. (I guess a single day fleet battles against BoB and allies would have given those kills already.) ___________ Muuuhhh !!! |

Yes, Detorid is nice. You can live there together with KoS farming corps. I will definitely go there again soon to practice my skills with the system scanner and to farm farmers. Loot gets maybe better too, if some older ratters move in, because no decent loot was the most annoying thing about those regions.

That's comedy gold. Guy doesn't know what Capital Letters are for flaming others for gibberish posts.
Another comedy gold: CA, the original alliance that pioneered, mastered and over*****d double-mics, ab+mwd and many other "nano" designs whining about use of nanoships.
F****, I still remember Kayo winning 8v1 BS 'duels' with his double-mic raven and first nano-designs circa 2004. Clearly, only thing old and new CA have in common are *****ing carebears:P

I never said COW couldnt pvp i said the tactics they used where lame and tbh alot of ppl would think same. We had a 24 hour nap so 1 member could move there stuff out the rest of corp did it no prob even with cow camping eo2 and m-m tbh it was harder moving out when imp was in control of gw.
Yes i was in -v- and some ppl might not remeber which tbh are prob the ppl who had there head up there bum and the ones doing there own thing (remeber estonia saying we not inviting anyone that we dont know to our gangs wonders why -v- fell hey) The reason i post my reply was just to stop all this cow are the best we rule blah blah afraid that kinda aint true and wanted to put my opionin across even if it matters or not isnt that what these forums are for ?
Anyway good luck to all down in that area hope you enjoy gw cow (even thou all the good systems are already taken) and i am pretty sure some day CA will be back down there to show you some good phew phew |

Edited by: NeverL on 27/03/2007 07:08:29 thank you for talking about stuff u dont know. because how else would people know the truth.
.ee allways said that the reason we dont participate activly in alliance ops and dont invite people into our gang is the fact that lot of our members dont speak english.
look at engad for example. u might think hes a 4 year old with half a brain, because hes writing is sooo bad. but in fact hes old and has children. ----------------- My dream is to become the best forum warrior there is. Even better then Molle Sir. |

Actually language is not a problem. Problem in late -V- was that people who wanted to join gangs were spies or they were in crapships.
in late V it was like this. Gang was formed, EE in t2 fitted battleships, others in crapships. Couple of fights like this and i prefer to fly alone.
Actually thats why V disbanded. People didnt want to come in decent ships and fittings. There was alot of whine about no isk to buy stuff etc. Leave the damn alliance then and go carebear in empire. Too many noobs in one boat is sinking boat.
And yes our corp has good teamplay while flying only with corp members becouse we know eachother well and in fight we even dont have to give much commands, what to do. I like quality more then quantity.

ROFL, This post is the biggest joke of all, claiming vitory already??? Is the War over??? IF so, why the hell was I not informed???
CoW, you have some decent PvP'r, but let there be no mistake, you are far from invincable. The days of the nano phoon are over, thanks to the patch. No doubt you've caught us by surprise with your unconventional tactics, but it was a good leason learned & we are better prepared.
Unfortunately for CA, Xirt has left the game abruptly due to unforeseen circumstances with his mother falling deathly ill. This has left CA in some confusion & disarray & has left some of us older players trying to fill in the void. Without getting into detail, you have yet met the full force of the Curse Alliance & I think it premature to go out calling VICTORY & throwing your hands in the air in joy.
So go ahead, move your gear into GW, but good luck trying to get it out.
As for our move of SOME gear out of E02, it's a logistical decision, a decision that was made over a month ago & we are keeping our obligations with both Goonswarm & RA.
CoW, don't assume because you don't see much of us in the area, that we have left. Don't mistake our resolve, but right now, it's just the calm before the storm. We'll be fighting on our terms, so watch your back jack.

Also one final point.. i have yet to see a thread where COW actually claims to be 'uber' as some CA have suggested above. Claiming that CA is easy prey is a completely different statement. It says something about CA, not about us. COW is good at pvp (its all we do), but i doubt u'll get any1 in COW to say that we are the ruling kings of pvp. We r like many other dedicated pvp organisations out there - proficient at what we do and we prefer even fights, and fortunately get them regularly vs ppl like TCF. CA was/is easy prey due to their lack of coordination etc. CA just needs to acknowledge the difference, and accept the consequences. Pushing the view that COW is depicting itself as uber is just a blantant display of selfdenial. As to the whole nano debate again.. plz plz plz check the killboards.. all major significant engagements vs CA have been with a negilable percentage of nano ships. Its interesting how this keeps getting said. Yes COW roaming gangs, like so many others in EVE, had nanoships. Nothing unusual about it - they were effective. But it would yet again be a display of selfdenial if you think the 2000-350 killratio was done by nanoships.. believe what u want tho'.. you'll get the message one way or the other i guess. Especially now that nanoships are no longer an option. Looking forward to CA's next 'excuse'. COW being devs maybe? In any case.. if CA actually does plan to bring it, and we get even fights, im deffo looking forward to it. cu in E02 i guess :)

This post/attitude is EXACTLY why your alliance is falling apart all around you. That and the fact that you have a paranoid dictator who doesnt want anyone around him that is even semi competent because they would be a threat to his power.
You guys are fleeing to 0-w as if it is some holy grail. It;s a pile of crap in todays scope of the game with outposts, ect. The nearest decent system is three jump away. Why do you think ragoon gave it to you? You certainly didn't earn it. I never saw even 10 CA guys when we were sieging the system. It was GIVEN to you beause its rather worthless and the rest of ragoon has outposts in rich systems. I know my CA alt is eagerly waiting (if you can ever sort the logistics) to turn your towers off at the right moment.
You guys have more conspiricy theories about bob on your forums than you do about any semblice of organisation. I mean you have a stickied thread of bob alts. You dont even fight bob you hide from them under the skirts of real powers yet you come beat your chest on E-O. Maybe you should try to build a real alliance instead of insulting COW ho has utterly owned CA, by your own admission on your internal forums. I mean the CEO of a CA corp quit and joined COW, that really says it all to me.

This here shows how little you know about the pilots you are belittling.
These are the same pilots who have been fighting BoB for... well far longer than anyone in this game.
These are the same pilots who have been fighting bob since they resided in outer ring.
I aint claiming their gods, or had phenominal success, but merely pointing out just how little fact is involved in your above comment.
